  • 4/5 from Ishmanpreet Gosal, attended Dec 2024: The class was an amazing experience! The teacher taught us how to make different style of coffee such latte, cappucino, flat white and espresso shot. She gave us detailed and clear instructions for us to follow, and in such a short time I was able to learn so much about using a cafe style coffee machine. She also got us to be involved as much as possible in the lesson which allowed the lesson to be less awkward especially since you are going into a class with complete strangers that also have a passion for making coffee.
  • 4/5 from Arun Sundaramurthy, attended Dec 2024: Decent value for the money! Pros: 1. Very hands-on. You practice the main 4 types of coffee (espresso, cappuccino, latte and flat white) many times. 2. Location is very good - right off flinders station! Cons: 1. Inexperienced teacher - she was very pleasant and tried her best, however it would be great to have someone who knows coffee extensively or with significant experience as a Barista 2. Would have been nice to have a take away material of everything covered in the course. They provide you an A4 sheet that gives the recipe for various coffee, however a detailed guide would have been nice.
  • 5/5 from Sonya Rutherfurd, attended Nov 2024: This class was excellent and very good value for money. The teacher gave us lots of practical experience in making various types of coffees, and I only had one milk explosion! I am a complete novice but feel like I have enough skills to start making coffees in my new cafe job.
  • 5/5 from Rachel Martino, attended Nov 2024: The teacher was helpful, positive and knowledgeable. I learnt so much and will be able to use my new skills with confidence. The course was very hands on which was great.
  • 5/5 from Martin O'Connor, attended Oct 2024: Well facilitated. An experienced barista. I don't like the fact I need to add a certain amount of words to provide feedback.
  • 5/5 from Paul Stolz, attended Oct 2024: Helped me understand the art of coffee making much better to assist our voluntary organization. Harry was very clear in instructing and very helpful
  • 3/5 from Abby Rager, attended Oct 2024: The barista course my family and I attended was good. Harry was knowledgeable and patien. But there were two key issues I wanted to share. First, regarding the milk options: none of us drink regular milk, and unfortunately, there were no alternatives like almond, oat, or soy available. My husband ended up going down to Coles mid-course to buy our own milk so we could enjoy the drinks. While it wasn’t a huge issue, I would have expected this to be considered given how common these options are nowadays. Second, and more importantly, we had a very unpleasant experience when it came to the certificates. We asked for two of them to be reprinted—one due to our mistake, but another because of a spelling error on their end. Instead of resolving the issue, we were made to feel like we were wasting their time, and they ended up charging us for the reprints. It wasn’t about whose mistake it was; it was how they handled it, which really soured the whole experience. This was my husband’s birthday present, and that scene at the end really took away from what was supposed to be a special day, which is a real shame.

Enough milk and coffee was provided for as much as coffees we ended to practice on. Did not like the venue much. Not very clean. Can understand that it is hard to find a commercial kitchen to do the course but could be cleaner. Did not get a handout although we were just asked to bring a pen. But overall the class was really informative and practical!

By the end we were a well-oiled machine. Learned tonnes, grew in confidence and had a good time!
  • 4/5 from Judith Davies, attended Dec 2023: The teacher was great, they helped each person there and they were very approachable so it was easy to ask the questions, I learnt specifics of how to make coffee, steaming and texturing milk.
  • 5/5 from Angelo Infantino, attended Oct 2023: Carlos was great, very thorough and super patient… I’d do the course again just to experience it all for a second time. Thank you and I will be recommending the course…
