Decoupage Seashell Wind Chime Workshop for Beginners

Join Be-Ras Creatives Art Cafe in Docklands and learn how to transform beautiful scallop shells into your very own decorative seashell wind chime.In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll start by choosing from our collection of decoupage designs. You can bring your own decoupage sheets if you want, and we can see if they can be used for your design.You'll then learn how to prepare and decorate the inside of three to four large scallop shells measuring approximately 10–15 cm using decoupage techniques. We'll show you how to position your design around the natural shape and ridges of the shell, apply the decoupage medium, and create a smooth, finished appearance. Once your decorated shells are ready, it's time to turn them into something special.Using a beautiful collection of natural scallop shells, smaller shells, conch shells, beads, and hanging cord, you'll learn how to arrange and assemble the different elements into your own approximately 45 cm hanging seashell wind chime. Experiment with the positioning of your shells, different strand lengths, and decorative combinations until your wind chime feels completely your own.No previous craft or decoupage experience is required. We'll guide you through the process from decorating your first shell to assembling your finished wind chime.By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a unique handmade piece ready to hang at home, on a sheltered balcony, near a window, or anywhere you'd like to add a little coastal charm.PLEASE NOTE:

• The sizes of shells may differ based on availability.
• The main 4 to 5 shells are 10 to 15 cm scallop shells, which are used for hanging and for decoupage.
• The variety of small shells may depend on availability, so the exact same shell may or may not be available.
• We use real shells for our class; please keep that in mind.
• You can bring your own shells, provided they are holed in advance for use.
