  • 5/5 from Alan Mak, attended Sep 2026: Guy is an industry-experienced photographer and a good instructor. I struggled with learning from YouTube, and having a live coach to teach me is a much better way to get started on such a complex activity. Today's 4 hours have saved me years of trying to figure things out on my own.
  • 5/5 from Lisa Robjant, attended Jul 2026: Excellent and informative class. Felt I came away with a lot of knowledge that was explained by the teacher very clearly. Would definitely recommend to others considering the class

  • 5/5 from Peter Gates, attended May 2026: Guy was fantastic, he explained the principles of photography. Showed us a 5-step pathway to set up the camera to take optimal photos under different circumstances and then took us out for practical work, showing us how to use shutter, aperture priority and manual settings, spot vs centre-weighted vs matrix metering modes, and to take more artistic photos, thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend this class with Guy One of the students had never turned the camera on, nor put a lens on. He he was patient and very helpful at the end, they were so excited and very keen to pursue photography as a hobby
  • 5/5 from Christopher Doyle, attended Mar 2026: Guy was excellent. Explained photography "jargon" and assisted/found features in my camera in a heartbeat. Taking pics around the cbd was great. Im looking at world rather than just seeing it. Inspired to get busy with my photography.
  • 5/5 from Marie Garbuio, attended Feb 2026: Great class and Guy is a wonderful teacher with a lifetime of photography knowlege. Would definitely book another class with him.
  • 5/5 from Amy Clissold, attended Feb 2026: Guy was a very knowledgeable and patient teacher and spent time with each of us and our individual camera settings. My group was very new to photography and we were all not familiar with the camera settings, but Guy made it simple and easy to understand. Walking around the city with different photography tasks helped us put our theory into practice. It was interesting comparing photos we all took within the group as everyone's creativity is different. Would highly recommend the beginners course!
  • 5/5 from Jo Thomson, attended Jan 2026: My gift card was put to very good use in this class. Guy is a highly experienced photographer and teacher and made an effort to consider each of our individual needs in the class. He effectively condensed the incomprehensible 900 page manual that came with my new camera to a couple of pages of notes and five fundamental steps to consider and practise. Some of us asked more questions than others, but Guy was patient and good humoured with everyone. After a thoughtful explanation about things we need to know about cameras (and the five processes that matter to picture-taking), we went around the city taking photos to illustrate various aspects of the information he had provided. I recommend you don't be late, take a snack and get ready for a rewarding education. I can't wait to put all his advice into practice. Thank you Guy.
  • 5/5 from Chester Martin, attended Jan 2026: Good info on the mechanics of the camera, but the practical part of the workshop with a focus on creativity had the biggest impact for me

  • 5/5 from Carly-Marie Clark, attended Sep 2024: The course was great- we were able to spend time learning the ins and outs of our own cameras, and understanding the different purposes of key features. We then had ample time to explore Melbourne and practise our new skills, being able to ask questions and get feedback along the way.
  • 5/5 from Narelle Vergini, attended Aug 2024: Awesome! Teacher extremely knowledgeable and loves the craft. Not as scared to try and adjust the settings.
  • 5/5 from Tracey Ferreira, attended Aug 2024: I loved that Guy made it easy to ask questions and from the start I was able to relax and enjoy the day. At the beginning I had no idea what I was doing, but I had taken photos which amazed me by the end of our time. I loved walking through the city and getting excited by all the possibilities photography could achieve. Well worth the price. A wonderful day!
  • 5/5 from Vanessa Adzaip, attended Jul 2024: I recently took a photography course with my brother and brought an Auslan interpreter to help me follow Guy's instructions. The course was incredibly enlightening, providing a wealth of knowledge and insights into using proper camera settings that I hadn't encountered before. Guy's expertise is both powerful and deeply rooted in rich experience. Despite the freezing and rainy weather and the crowded protest outside, I truly enjoyed bonding with the group. The experience was educational and a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts. A special salute to my Auslan interpreter, who went above and beyond by serving as a model during the course. It was so much fun! The photos came out beautifully and I’m keen to learn more and continue developing my skills. I had a slight issue with ClassBento. I paid for two courses for myself and my brother but the teacher said there was only one registration. I provided two receipts to clarify the situation.
  • 5/5 from Byron Gatt, attended Jun 2024: Guy was very knowledgeable and made the session really interesting. I feel much more confident and excited to take pictures, I’ve already been out again.

  • 5/5 from Shane Watson, attended Apr 2024: Before I did this course, I thought I just wanted to capture memories with my new Mirrorless SLR. This course not only showed me a part of Melbourne I had previously overlooked, but with Guy’s help I learned to see what many people don’t and also to be creative. Guy Little knew his stuff and I learned more about my own camera and what I could achieve with the right camera settings. I had already moved away from ‘auto’ and on to aperture or shutter priority but by the end of the course I was on ‘Manual’ setting and that is where it has remained. Thank you Guy, really enjoyed the day.
  • 5/5 from Robert Dunkley, attended Mar 2024: Really enjoyed the photography day and learning lots. Guy was great and really encouraging. Thanks
