There was a beautiful selection of papers to choose from, all the tools were laid out ready for us, and the template Nicole designed is just ingenious. We loved it so much we’re already planning our next bookbinding day!
  • 5/5 from Harry Rose, attended Aug 2026: We had a great time with this bookbinding class! Nicole had a very fun and whimsical teaching style, was extremly knowledgeable and patient (Especially with me as I seemed to do the impossible repeatedly) and Very prepared (All paper and tools provided were very high quality and made the process much more enjoyable). FYI The class took us about 4 hours so don't have anything planned directly after as some people may take longer in certain stages! We all would highly recommend this class and look forward to binding more books with our newfound skills! Thank you Nicole!

  • 5/5 from Annie Cruse, attended May 2026: I loved every minute of this class, in fact, it's up there as one of the best I've ever done. The small group was great as it meant Nicole had plenty of time to give us each her attention. She was a bit run off her feet towards the end but she made sure we all a book we were happy with, even though we ran over time. Everyone was really friendly and helped each other out. Nicole's teaching style is very easy to follow and the resources she provides are of superior quality with lots of lovely choices. I LOVE my finished book and will treasure it. Looking forward to doing another class soon. Highly recommend you try this one!
  • 5/5 from Mary Sutherland, attended Feb 2026: Nicole was fantastic so patient and her passion for her craft is so evident! A lovely and generous teacher. I highly recommend her. Everyone was more than happy with their Coptic books at the end of the class. Thank you, Nicole
  • 5/5 from Alex West, attended Nov 2025: Attended this class with my partner First time doing this kind of thing for him … but Nicole was incredibly patient with us taking guiding us through each step of the process until we ended up with a great end product and I think that with the notes that we received I feel l confident that I will be able to make more books with my new skills. The venue was great, nice snacks provided and pots of tea… I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t too large of a group 6 participants all together and friendly happy people, Nicole created the kind of atmosphere that encouraged us all to chat and support each other, which was really nice for the people there on their own. I would highly recommend Nicole’s workshops to anybody thoroughly enjoyable.
  • 5/5 from Linda Meredith, attended Nov 2025: I had done basic bookbinding before and decided to take it to the next level and this was fantastic. Nicole understood that I had some prior skills but didn’t assume that I knew everything so her instructions were thorough and clear. Checking in with me regularly to make sure I was on the right track whilst supporting others in our workshop who needed more one on one Support. Coptic binding is a little more challenging but the even paced methodical approach ensured that we understood the principle of the binding and there was room for us to each adapt the technique to our own aesthetic. The tools were top notch and the paper supply so diverse and stunning. I think the hardest part was making a decision about what paper I wanted to use for my cover and end papers as well as a choice between a nice quality dot gridded or plain paper for the journal pages. I really appreciated the access to carefully developed notes and a gifted nifty little corner cutting template was a really lovely touch thank you.
  • 5/5 from Natalie Harmon, attended Oct 2025: This was a privately booking for a special occasion and it was wonderful. The technique is challenging, but Nicole was incredibly patient and was able to cater to our particular event beautifully we are all very happy with our results. Thank you… Highly recommended.
