I have been working with leather for almost ten years now, and leather-making has been my full time occupation for the last six years. I make custom pieces for the cosplay and LARP communities, as well as selling over the internet.I teach small classes in my workshop at home as well as larger ones at the Raretrades Centre in Ballarat. I am very enthusiastic about sharing this craft with people regardless of experience. I work with those new to leather-making, those who have already done a little bit themselves, and also those who want to really further their skills.I have a strong passion for completing this craft with hand-tools as opposed to a lot of the modern conveniences that many people are turning to nowadays. There’s no laser cutters or 3d printers in my workshop. I feel this is important for keeping the hobby accessible for everyone.On top of all that, it’s important for me that I can create a safe, enjoyable place for people to take a day out from the craziness and enjoy themselves with good company, learning a craft with their hands.
