In our pottery class, you'll roll, sculpt, and paint your very own Minecraft Creeper. You'll learn how to hand-build and paint a clay project that you can take home after firing and glazing.
Don't worry if you're new to ceramics - our workshops are designed for young children of all skill levels, making them fun and educational.
Under the guidance of our experienced tutors, you'll discover the art of hand-building with ceramics. From shaping clay into imaginative forms to adding personal touches, each piece will be uniquely yours.

You'll get to experience the joy of working with clay and discover your creative side while making new friends. Remember to bring your own smock to protect your clothes during the activity.
What you'll get
At the end of the class, you'll not only have learned a new skill, but you'll also have a unique piece of art to treasure. Your fired and glazed creation will be ready for collection approximately 3 weeks after the class date.

Public transport The Box Hill Community Arts Centre is only a 7–10-minute walk from Box Hill Train Station on the Lilydale/Belgrave Line. It is also accessible from bus routes 768, 903 732 or 735 and stop directly outside the Centre entrance. Driving Approximately 15 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD via the Eastern Freeway, the Centre is located approximately halfway between Whitehorse and Canterbury Roads on Station Street in Box Hill. Parking is available on the corner of Station and Combarton Streets.
