You will also learn the secret authentic Italian ingredients that really make an Italian dish and how to use them with ease. You will feel confident repeating each recipe at home and create food that is even better than your local Italian restaurant. For those with dietary requirements, gluten-free and vegetarian can be easily catered for.
Come alone, bring a friend or partner, or bring the whole family!
ADD ON Our Italian Gnocchi Tool Kit to your booking! Complete with dough scraper, gnocchi paddle, Culinary Quickies Italian Cook Book and 2 x hand picked Spice Packets.
Please note: The menu is based on available seasonal produce and is subject to change at the experience provider's discretion. Gnocchi will always be included. You will work and cook together as a team, and shared workspace and the kitchen equipment with other participants. A group cooking session with partial group participation is the most effective and fun way to add to your cooking skills. To ensure the class finishes on time some elements of the dishes are demonstrated. The class is held in a fully licensed venue so you are unable to BYO.
Note: Groups of four or more guests will get their own private table.
Support Workers, Interpreters, Aids. Everyone must book and pay to enter. NDIS participants are highly recommended to bring Support Workers because of how the class runs (working in pairs, fast paced, moving around, etc). Please be understanding, due to the layout of the class and safety & enjoyment of all guests, they must book in too.

  • 5/5 from Richard Musumeci, attended Jul 2026: A excellent afternoon learning how to make cannoli, gnocchi and arancini.
  • 5/5 from Naomi Hood-Bernard, attended Jun 2026: My husband and I attended this cooking class for our anniversary, and we had a fantastic time. The class was fun, engaging, and very well organised. Our chef and instructor was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining throughout the session. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and there was plenty of guidance and support along the way. The food we made was absolutely delicious, and we left feeling inspired to recreate the dishes at home. We would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun experience.
  • 5/5 from Steven Chenery, attended Jun 2026: Chef Elle was awesome, it was a fantasitc night and everyone had a great time. This was a work event and would definately recommend it to other organisations that are considering the class.
  • 4/5 from Cass Fortunato, attended Jun 2026: Food is delicious, chef/instructor was great. Some food was made ahead of time, so we didn't actually learn how some parts are made. The room was very smoked when we started cooking, no ventilation
  • 5/5 from Sharni Tomkins, attended May 2026: Awesome afternoon and what a feast. We've now done Part 1 and Part 2. Each fantastic!. Highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Tara Timperley, attended Apr 2026: We did the Italian cooking class part two and it was fabulous! Able to have a great time, learn how to cook, eat the delicious food, meet some new friends, and drink whilst doing it. Highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Gibbs, attended Mar 2026: I love going to Vanilla Zulu. Someone at this class asked me which classes I had previously done and I mentioned I had been going there since 2018 and have done most of the classes. I had done the original Rustic Italian which included making gnocchi but this one was specifically for added arancini and canoli, both of which I had never made before. The chefs who work at VZ are all knowledgable chefs and this is the second class I have taken in the past two weeks where the lovely French chef, Chef Adrian walked us through the making of the dishes. The classes are run in groups of four as a family cook and sit down to eat and there is plenty of food to go around. Make sure you take some containers with you so you can take home the leftovers. Also make sure you use the QR code to download the recipes so you can make the dishes at home. I have two folders worth of recipes from classes I have taken.
  • 4/5 from Sandra Flanagan, attended Mar 2026: Great teacher, yummy food, well organised and definitely do another class

  • 5/5 from Amanda Lawrence, attended Jan 2026: Chef Adrian and the support crew were incredible! Easy to follow insteuctions and delicious results. The session ran to time and gave us more confidence with cooking these dishes. 10/10 recommend.
  • 5/5 from Lisa Dent, attended Jan 2026: My 75 year old mum and I did this course and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. ‘Chef’ was a very knowledgable and patient teacher. He taught me many new techniques for cooking Italian food which I will definitely take to my own kitchen. The quality of ingredients was top shelf which shone through in the final product. We managed to pump out 3 dishes and a sit down meal in 3 hours which was impressive! 100% recommenda this course to anyone. You will not be disappointed!
  • 4/5 from Kara Evans, attended Jan 2026: It was brilliant. Had so much fun and an amazing teacher who ensured everything was coeliac friendly for me. I really loved learning to make the arancini balls. Only negative was there wasn't enough to take home if you wanted to have a full meal after the class. Fortunately I now have the recipes and skills to make this at home, so this wasn't a big problem.

  • 5/5 from Christina Hatzinik, attended Oct 2025: Great class! We cooked Arancini, Gnocchi and Cannoli. Sicilian chef, Andrea was very informative, helpful and patient with this GF girlie who played catch-up most of the class cooking solo. Met some amazing people and felt very included as Chef Andrea guided me through the alternative ingredients and processes. Plating up and enjoying our 3-course meal together at the end was Bellissima!
  • 5/5 from Montana Cooke, attended Oct 2025: Wow wow wow!! What a damn experience that was. I had surprised my mum with this gift for her birthday and we had a wonderful lady Nat seated with us on our table. We have all been to a few different classes around in Brisbane and all over. But this class specifically blew us away! We had so much fun and did not feel any pressure to be quick or to do things perfectly. There was an insane amount of food that we got to cook each and our teacher/chef Adrian (he will kill me for spelling it wrong) was such an amazing host! We laughed, learnt so much, bonded with each other and most importantly made some delicious food. We will be back and will be sharing the love/review to many others for them to try. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!!!!

The support staff are amazing & I was impressed by how efficiently the cooking school operates. Can also highly recommend the Aperol Spritz!

  • 5/5 from Barry Davies, attended May 2025: Completed the rustic Italian 2 cooking class with Chef Sean Webber. Challenging dishes like risotto (used as the filling for arancini balls) and gnocchi were made easier thanks to the skill and fun way Chef Sean conducted the class. Highly recommended…so Yum!
  • 5/5 from Janelle Black, attended May 2025: I had a gift voucher to use so I decided on this class to do with friends & we were impressed. Such a relaxed, fun & engaging thing to do.
