On the hunt for Brisbane cooking classes that will have you cooking restaurant-quality meals in just a few hours? Join Australian Chef Lisa Mead in the kitchen and learn how to cook powerful Meditteranean dishes!
During this hands-on class, you will cook and dine on a mouthwatering four-course Mediterranean-influenced menu. This is a great class for beginners and budding chefs, with plenty of practical interaction and helpful hints in the kitchen. Plus, you'll also learn about the importance of balancing flavours and presentation.
In this four-hour cooking class, you will:
  • Learn about what makes Mediterranean cuisine such a healthy choice.
  • Learn tips and techniques.
  • Learn about the importance of sourcing local ingredients.
  • Enjoy dining on the delicious dishes you have created.
On the menu:
  • Prosciutto and melon skewers.
  • Cracked pepper and vodka infused pumpkin soup.
  • Linguine zucchini tossed in a pistachio pesto sauce with locally sourced jumbo prawns, and a sprinkle of toasted panko, vermouth and garlic, garnished with an aged Parmesan lace tuile.
  • Secret Garden - A delicate flower, made from filo pastry filled with mascarpone infused with Madagascar vanilla and other flavours, topped with mixed berries and a drizzle of soft toffee.
At the end of this flavourful class, you will sit down to enjoy your homemade meals and leave with a whole new range of skills to try out in the kitchen!

  • There is a $60 travel fee for mobile classes.

What to bring
  • Please wear closed-in shoes and tie your hair back.
  • Your favourite beverage to pair with your meal.
If you are choosing to do a mobile class, your kitchen will need an oven, stove, bench space, microwave, standard cooking utensils, plate ware and silverware plus fridge space.
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, Christmas party, birthday or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 13 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

This experience would also be a creative gift for her, gift for mum, Xmas gift or gift for couples.

Location

Your teacher can travel within 30 kms of Ashgrove, to a venue of your choice.
