What you'll do

This class is to be completed after attending the Beginner’s Watercolour Painting Class!

In the 2hr class, you will learn in detail to analyse an image and the process of painting what you see. Expanding on the techniques you have previously learned and learning to apply them more thoroughly.

This workshop will focus on learning layering techniques specific to a landscape image. We will start off by learning to mix the palette and look at the image, discussing the process of painting it. Throughout the class, participants will learn step by step how to paint a landscape image, painting alongside their instructor.

Note: This workshop does not run without a minimum of four participants. If this requirement is not met, the workshop will be cancelled, and participants can either receive a refund or reschedule for another date.

What you'll get

Good quality watercolour paper sheet, that they will use to paint their landscape piece. (participants should still bring their own paper for experimental use)
The skills needed to create works in their own free time.
Advice from a practicing watercolour artist.
A finished piece that they will get to take home.
Tea and snacks.

*Watercolour supplies can be purchased at any art shop, but can also be added at an additional cost of $18 on top of the class price. Your teacher can supply materials for you for the duration of the class (please let me know at the time of booking if you would like to purchase the supplies from her).

*There is also the option of adding a Watercolour Taster Kit to your booking for $60; which includes an A5 300gsm w/c paper pad, small travel palette with 12x tester colour samples and 1x no.4 round brush.

I am a Naarm/Melbourne based artist whose practice mainly focuses on exploring the concept of femininity and the female form, using vibrant colours, layered watercolour paint and circular shapes; and have over 10 years experience painting with watercolours. I base my practice out of my cozy studio in the Parslow Street Artist Studios located in Clifton Hill.
