Catherine learnt to blow hot glass at the Meat Market in Melbourne and immediately fell in love with the medium. "Molten glass is mesmerising as you watch it change its form and it glows in glorious red, orange and purple hues". She shares her passion for all things glass with her friend Jacqui and together they established their lampwork glass studio in the historic and mud brick village of St Andrews in the Yarra Valley Region. Catherine loves teaching as it gives her the opportunity to share her passion in glass with others. Catherine is currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design at Melbourne Polytechnic. She is enjoying making glass jewellery with precious metals.
