Get to Know Incense

Once you settle into the class, you'll know nine different kinds of herbs and choose your personal blend. Instructor will help you to understand all the steps.

Your instructor will break down steps and show them on the course instructions.

Make Your Paste

Blend natural plant powders and resins with water and make into a paste by hand.

Make Your Incense Sticks

Once mixed, roll it into your hands to create incense sticks and cones. Your teacher will guide you step by step.

Decorate with Flowers

Make your incense sticks and cones more unique with your favourite flowers!

What You'll Experience:

Traditional Incense Crafting

Guided by our tutor, blend premium natural herbal incense powders using traditional Chinese incense-making techniques. You’ll measure, mix and knead your custom aromatic paste to craft both slender incense sticks and compact incense cones by hand. Once finished, light your handmade creations and savour their gentle, layered fragrance as it drifts through the air.

During winter, we serve warm herbal tea. Guests can enjoy the full sensory experience of candle‑incense making: appreciating herbal aromas through scent, while sipping herbal flavours internally from the warm drink.

The incense making is a more complex process than I assumed but there was lots of choice of scents and shaping it was quite a therapeutic experience. The class absolutely flew by as we were all so engrossed in our creations. It would make a great catch up activity with friends but also doable solo. Would also be fun for hens parties.
