  • 5/5 from Hannah Samson, attended Oct 2026: Had such a great time at this class! I learned so much and had such a good time not only making my own matcha but also painting my ceramic! No notes.
  • 5/5 from Emma Dupuy, attended Sep 2026: Such a lovely experience from start to finish. Donnay was fantastic, she explains everything so clearly, really knows her stuff, and you can tell she’s genuinely passionate about matcha. That energy made the whole session feel special. The matcha she prepared for us was delicious, and learning the proper way to whisk and prepare it ourselves was so satisfying. We also got to paint our own mugs, which was such a fun, creative touch and made the morning even more memorable. Everything felt thoughtful and well-run. I’m already looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, hands-on, and genuinely enjoyable matcha experience.
  • 5/5 from Isha Ojha, attended Sep 2026: Made my own matcha, teacher was kind and lovely, met beautiful committee and perfect start of sunday morning
  • 5/5 from Mary McNevin, attended Sep 2026: Amazing experience love every minute of the event
  • 5/5 from Angelina Sinitsyna, attended Sep 2026: I had a lovely time at the matcha preparation and ceramic painting workshop. The teacher was welcoming and explained each step clearly. I enjoyed learning how to prepare matcha and painting my own ceramic cup was my favourite part. A relaxing and creative experience, I’d definitely recommend it!
  • 5/5 from Miku Takahama, attended Sep 2026: It was such a special experience, and I’d genuinely recommend! Of course, the matcha was absolutely delicious, and even as a complete beginner in art, I had so much fun with the workshop. But what made the experience truly special for me was Dönay herself and the warm, welcoming atmosphere she creates. As a Japanese person, I was especially touched by how genuinely Dönay respects and appreciates Japanese culture. It’s a beautiful experience to share with friends or family, but I’d also highly recommend coming on your own. It can be such a peaceful and meaningful opportunity to slow down, be creative, and spend some time with yourself
  • 5/5 from Bahadir Yildiz, attended Sep 2026: Was a good experience thank you
  • 5/5 from Sarah Clark, attended Jul 2026: This class was so fun and cute! My friends and I had such a great experience painting and drinking matcha. Instructor Donay was absolutely wonderful and made it a really lovely space. Would do it again!!

We started with one tin of matcha and ended up hosting rooms full of people.
We’re Dönay and Mete, the couple behind NOA Matcha.
We’re both engineers and together, we’ve spent more than six years running workshops and travelling the world. Along the way, we found our calm in Bali while training in yoga and meditation.
We wanted to combine the calming ritual of ceremonial matcha with the mindful joy of ceramic painting, creating a two-hour experience where people can slow down, connect and make something beautiful.
Today, we bring this experience to more than 15 cities across Australia.
Come sip, paint and breathe with us.
