Young Florist Creative Club is a nature-inspired floristry and creative arts class designed especially for children aged 7–12 years. With fortnightly daytime sessions, the club is ideal for homeschool families looking for creative enrichment, social connection, and engaging hands-on learning experiences.
Hosted at Berwick School of Floristry, these meaningful sessions combine flowers, natural materials, art, imagination, and storytelling to create a unique learning experience that encourages creativity, confidence, and connection with nature.
Each fortnight features a new project inspired by the seasons and the natural world. Children may create fairy gardens, floral nests, miniature botanical worlds, flower crowns, nature sculptures, botanical artwork, and other imaginative floral designs using fresh flowers, foliage, and interesting natural materials.
Our classes focus on creativity rather than perfection, allowing children to explore, experiment, and express themselves in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Perfect for homeschool families, young artists, budding gardeners, and children who love flowers, nature, and making beautiful things with their hands.

Knowledge required
Suitable for
Children aged 7–12 years.
No previous experience required. Parents are welcome to stay for the first few minutes to help children settle into the class or stay for the entire duration of the class if preferred.

FAQ

Do I need to stay with my child during the class?
Children are welcome to attend independently. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay for the first few minutes to help children settle in if needed.
Are you insured?
Yes. Berwick School of Floristry is fully insured for all classes and workshops.
Do you hold a Working with Children Check?
Yes. All children's classes are conducted by an instructor holding a current Working with Children Check.

What are the booking options and pricing?
Casual bookings are welcome. • $85 per child when booking for one participant • $80 per child when booking two or more participants together Children who would like to attend regularly can also join our Young Florist Creative Club membership. Membership is $150 per month and includes two fortnightly sessions at a discounted member rate while securing your child's place in the club.

Amelia created a beautiful floral arrangement with sunflowers and other lovely flowers. A sheet is given to Amelia every class with the flowers names, a picture of what she is going to do and is also given a sheet of homework to do before the next fortnights class. Sharon is very well organised and each class is a very different arrangement which is very creative. Sharon highly praises Amelia, she just guides her and lets Amelia bring out her natural artistic flair that she has. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful within the florist studio. I am very thrilled to see my granddaughter building her confidence up and seeing her artistic abilities growing every lesson.

I approached Sharon asking if Amelia could do a one on one class learning about flowers and arrangements. Amelia had her 2nd individual class today with Sharon being part of her school hours. Amelia is so comfortable and absolutely loves her classes with Sharon. Sharon is an excellent teacher, going through every flowers name, guiding Amelia with her arrangement but letting her do her own ideas etc. Each class Amelia does something different and Sharon allows her to incorporate her own ideas. Eg.. making bees and butterflies out of pipe cleaners to put in the floral arrangement. Each week is different, a basket, a bowl and so much more we are waiting to see what else eventuates. The atmosphere of the studio is so very relaxing and comfortable. Sharon made up a folder for Amelia with each class having notes on what flowers were in her arrangement with a photo pointing to each flower so she remembers. I very highly recommend these classes for children. Children being home schooled it is really a great way to add to their school curriculum.

Studio Owner and Founder is Sharon Bermingham; a second generation Irish florist of over 16 years. Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her studio floristry business in Berwick (Bunty and Fuzz Florist) and has built up a solid network of local, national and international clients as well as industry contacts worldwide. Her style is elegant and modern, with influences from Ireland, the UK and Europe. With the added convenience of being close to local flower growers and having access to locally-grown, market fresh produce several times a week, Sharon prides herself on being able to meet customers' needs within today's budgetary confinements.
Sharon opened her first retail store at 71 High Street, Berwick in January 2020. In December 2022, she made a pivotal decision coming out of the pandemic to move her business back Online.
“With Covid, came the downturn in foot traffic on Berwick’s previously thriving High St so the decision to work remotely was made for me after a very challenging few years. I continued to design and deliver amazing flower arrangements and bouquets, whilst also exploring some new adventures in Event Floristry and Floristry Education. My family, my loyal customer base and my local community continue to be so supportive and I am forever grateful to be in a position to follow my purpose in life with a new energy for 2025”
Entering her “Studio Era” in August 2024 Sharon relocated the business to the beautiful Gloucester Avenue, Berwick. “From this central location, we now have more space to service online orders, to consult with clients and we now have a permanent classroom set up for our Flower School!”
With a true passion for the industry, Sharon delights in sharing her knowledge, skills and experience with others through the many hobby classes and workshops she tutors both privately and in the local community.
“Building on the classes and workshops that I have been teaching since 2016, I now want to offer pre-requisite, competency based training that can potentially lead students to a future study pathway/ready for work opportunity”.
Sharon is excited to have completed her TAE Qualification (Cert IV Training and Assessment) at Chisholm in March 2025 and is now a fully accredited trainer and assessor!
