  • 5/5 from Thomas Ellison, attended Jul 2023: Junko was a very lovely and patient teacher. Her work is beautiful and she effectively explained some of the basic painting techniques she uses. The materials used are simplistic. I found this to be very helpful as I never became too overwhelmed. Thanks to Junko, the work we created was actually frame worthy.

The timeframe was perfect (not too long or too short), Junko was very knowledgeable and a great teacher, the space was perfect, we learnt how to grind our own ink, different brush strokes, traditional composition and gradient layering. We purchased the ink stick and grinding stone and Japanese paper to continue playing at home :) Thanks Junko ありがとうございます
  • 5/5 from Julia Bottegal, attended Mar 2023: Junko is such a beautiful down to earth artist. I’m not very artistic and she made me feel so comfortable and confident in class. I can’t wait to have another art class with her. The art tools were provided and the location was perfect. Highly recommend :)
  • 4/5 from Helen Rogers, attended Mar 2023: A focused space to practice brush stroke after brush stroke; until bamboo leaves and stems arise in tones of gray, koi with splots, and drawings of birds, mountains and trees- May after all be in reach. Fun.

  • 4/5 from Svetlana Volochina, attended Nov 2022: The teacher was great. However class was too big, and she really struggled with this volume of students. People could not get enough of her attention, because it is essential to have her one to one time. Which some lucky students had and some didn't. A better idea would be to have a student sit around a large table so the teacher does not have to walk around the large rectangular table. It seems to be wrong.
