  • 5/5 from Danielle Matthews, attended Sep 2026: We attended Saori’s Ramen Noodle Ccoking Class. What a lovely experience. Gordon made us feel very welcome upon arrival. Saori was informative, knowledgeable & her passion for food was inspiring. Saori included everyone in the cooking process in a very relaxed & stress free environment. We got to enjoy our cooking & learn about quality Japanese food in a home environment. Saori is a true foodie! Thank you for a great day.

  • 5/5 from Leo Williames, attended May 2026: Saori was so welcoming and informative. She kept us busy without feeling stressed & we learnt a lot as well as eating delicious Japanese ramen. Definitely recommend.
  • 5/5 from Janice Bale, attended Apr 2026: Really enjoyed this class today. Such a welcoming and experienced host, with so much Japanese charm and warmth. She planned a menu that gave all participants hands on tasks throughout, and we loved sharing the food that we had made together during our time together. What I didn't appreciate prior to this class was that our host makes many of the sauces herself and so she really knows all about quality ingredients and balancing amazing flavors. I can't wait to create some Ramen magic for my family very soon.
  • 1/5 from Alan Adelman, attended Apr 2026: We were unfortunately unable to attend our class due to my mother being admitted to hospital. While I understand that a no-refund or cancellation policy is generally in place, this was an exceptional and unforeseen circumstance. Had a partial refund or alternative arrangement been offered, I would have been happy to rebook for another session. However, given the response received and lack of consideration for the circumstances, I will not be booking any future classes with them.
  • 5/5 from Millicent Troon, attended Mar 2026: Saori was so welcoming, so knowledgable and so encouraging. The class was friendly, intimate and joyful. Questions were welcomed and she gave everyone opportunity to practise skills. It was such a privilage to be taken into her home. I absolutely loved creating each dish, then sitting around the dining room table to enjoy together and have conversation. I purchased a pasta maker next day and set about making ramen the for my family. It was a great success and really so easy. Best fun ever! Thank you so very much
  • 5/5 from Mia Schepis, attended Feb 2026: Saori is an extremely friendly and humble host, who is passionate and very knowledge about creating traditional Japanese meals from scratch. She demonstrated her own flare with traditional dishes which made learning and exploring the cuisine even more enjoyable! Thankyou Saori!

  • 5/5 from Ola Cuschieri, attended Sep 2025: The teacher Saori was amazing!! The class was fun and very informative. I can now make yummy Ramen at home with great ingridients. We all took part in the class, helped get the ingridients ready and had a lovely meal (three of them) to taste test what we made. Would recommend this class highly to anyone wanting to learn how to make Ramen!

  • 5/5 from Rae Morey, attended Mar 2025: I spent a lovely three hours cooking and eating during Saori's ramen class. We made three types of ramen plus noodles from scratch, with some ingredient fresh from Saori's veggie garden. It was fun getting hands on and chatting with the others in the class. I can't wait to cook my own now and even bought a pasta maker yesterday so I can make my own noodles!
  • 5/5 from Kimberley McFarlane, attended Nov 2024: Saori was an amazing host, super inviting and friendly! We loved the experience and the food! We would definitely recommend this experience.

Saori Kojima founded her brand of traditional Japanese sauces and seasonings in 2013 in her newly adopted home of Upwey, in Victoria’s leafy Dandenong Ranges.
When Saori first moved to Melbourne from Hokkaido in 2011, she was delighted to discover the incredible array of fresh produce and ingredients available, but found it difficult to find authentic Japanese sauces and condiments that were not overly processed and full of unnecessary additives and flavour enhancers. Having always been accustomed to preparing food from scratch in Japan, she began making traditionally prepared sauces for her own enjoyment.
At first her intention was to simply to recreate the flavours of home to share with her family and friends, but what began as a hobby soon flourished into an award winning business.
Between 2013 and 2019 Saori’s products have won a total of 10 medals at the Australian Food Awards, Melbourne Food Awards and Hobart Fine Food Awards.
Saori’s guiding philosophy is ‘ Quality food; Quality life’. With a well founded belief that Japanese cuisine is one of the healthiest in the world, she has made it her mission to share the benefits of real Japanese cooking with Australian people. ‘I want to share my knowledge of easy, healthy and delicious ways of cooking at home. I want to contribute to a healthier Australia!’
