What you'll do
Have you ever wanted to learn calligraphy but don't know where to start? Join Dip and Script for this beginner-friendly class in Melbourne!Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is designed for beginners, where you don't need any experience required or taken a calligraphy class before. Come and learn basic strokes, up and down strokes, how to form words and personalise cards for any special occasion.Your teacher will guide you through the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor and more. Soon enough, you'll have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond the class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art. Calligraphy is the perfect crafty afternoon out, suitable for your next date night, team building activity or unique experience gift.

I am Raveena, a Calligraphy artist and educator based in Melbourne. I came across calligraphy as a hobby and I went to India to study calligraphy art and gained certification in calligraphy. What started as hobby in 2010, turned into a passion and now I am a full time calligrapher teaching from my home studio.I enjoying teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I am here to help you explore your inner creativity. Let’s create something fun and beautiful together!
