Ivan has years of deep experience as a car mechanic, explaining to a novice like me as a good educator. Within only half a day, I knows a lot about my car, how to buy the first car, the different components and how they broke, things I should pay attention to, things I should spend money to do it right to save large expenses in the future. This workshop is unique in Melbourne. I searched and didn't find anything similar at all.

The teacher was very attentive to answer all the questions and giving examples. Great gift for who wants to understand more about car maintenance.

The garage itself was clean and tidy and I'd feel comfortable taking my car in if I needed works or servicing. As for the workshop, it was a great intro level class geared towards anyone. Ivan's a great instructor and easily explained everything so we could all understand and offered a few demonstrations. I only wish there were more classes to continue learning!

This class did not disappoint - the teacher was terrific in his engagement and understanding of the core materials and his encouragement of participation. The venue was perfect - an actual workshop vs a classroom setting. The materials were common enough that all would encounter reference to them at some point in their vehicle ownership. I learned what actually goes into a service and the background to a lot of things that come up and what questions to ask of your mechanic to ensure a match for both vehicle safety and budget. I'm recommending this course to all my friends and family.

The teacher (Ivan) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to explain any details to any of the participants. The class is set in Ivan's workshop, along with plenty of car parts to look at and learn about. There is a "look and listen" part of the class, where Ivan talks about car components and common faults, as well as a practical part where the class looks under the bonnet of a car and goes through a tyre change too. I would very highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to know more about how cars work and preventative maintenance!

Ivan patiently answered all our questions without condescension. The demonstrations on a real car engine, along with showing us all the parts that experience the most wear and tear (and explaining why) were very helpful. Well worth the investment in dollars and time!

It had really useful information on what preventative maintenance can be done as well as what to look out for and be informed on when servicing cars. Not so much about how to fix small problems as be more conversant with your mechanic and understand the process better. Emphasis is on regular servicing and looking after your car properly. Learnt quite a few useful things that I'll be able to use in the future.
