Looking to unleash creativity experience? Join us for a fun and informative clay sculpture and hand building class in Melbourne. In this workshop, you'll learn how to build from scratch and create your own breakfast set, including a plate, bowl, cup, and spoon, all made from clay.
Don't worry if you're new to pottery – this class is perfect for beginners. Our experienced teacher will guide you through a range of pottery techniques, including sculpting and casting, providing all the necessary information and support along the way.
Throughout the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty with clay and let your imagination run wild. The teacher will be there to assist you whenever needed, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience.
Once your ceramic objects are complete, they will need to dry, bisque fired then glazed and fired again. We'll notify you when your pieces are ready for collection from the studio, so you can admire and show off your functional creations.

Marlize Myburgh obtained a degree in Jewellery Design from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Through her studies and beyond, Marlize proved that she had a special talent for design by attaining various awards, including the De Beers Shining Light Award and the AngloGold Riches of Africa prize.
In the summer of 2005, Marlize and her family relocated to Melbourne, where she continued her studies. In 2009 Marlize received a Diploma of Jewellery Design from Box Hill TAFE. During June and July of the same year, she completed an artists’ residency program at the Cité Internationale Des Arts in Paris.
Marlize loves to experiment with different techniques and materials and in doing so, discovers new creative opportunities all the time. She also likes to play with the different textures of clays, surface applications and colour.
