What you'll do
Develop your skills in this masterclass.
Suitable for players (8yo to adults) with a good foundation of the rules of play, experience with tactics and strategies. In these sessions we will cover openings, progress through to middlegames and endgames. Each lesson will build on content learned from the last, when put together aims to provide a good base for improving the students' play overall. Take home worksheets will be given on select weeks.

Your teacher will be Jacob Gibson | Chess Specialist | Ranked 40th in WA
A qualified competitive chess teacher, Jacob has been playing competitive over-the-board chess for the past 8 years. He has a classical rating of 1964 which ranks him as 40th in the state currently. Jacob is experienced with teaching complete beginners through to preparing students to attend interschool competitions. Jacob is patient and encouraging to his students.
If you do not yet have a good foundation of the rules of play, we suggest you to join our weekly Beginners Classes.
