Recent reviews of Clay and Sip Class: Wheel Throwing
5/5 from Larisa, attended Oct 2026: Got this class for 4 for Christmas as a gift card. The process is very easy and straightforward. Had no issues. The instructor was very nice. There were a couple of other classes being held at the same time so was a little crowded and noisy but not too bad. The process itself was fun and there were a few people floating around to help with anything you might struggle with. Very relaxed atmosphere.
5/5 from Trish, attended Sep 2026: My friends bought me a Clay and Sip voucher for my birthday, and we all went together on a Sunday afternoon. We had so much fun! Our teacher showed us how to use the wheel, and was on hand to help us when things went wrong. She was funny and skilled and we had lots of laughs together. We got to dry and paint our pieces, and we'll pick them up in a few weeks. We had so much fun that we are keen to go back and try some other projects.
5/5 from Kim Stanley, attended Aug 2026: Wanted to do something fun with my daughter so we booked and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the pottery wheel, Our teacher was lovely very helpful with great support.
5/5 from Josh McCawley, attended Aug 2026: Teacher was straight to the point - friendly, but didn't waste time getting into things. I liked that! Good teacher, good fun, bit messy but in a good way. Definitely no way I'd be trying to have a glass of wine though - your hands are covered in clay! Have a drink at a local bar first, then get to the class.
5/5 from Helen Richards, attended Jul 2026: Asha and I had a fantastic night. Being the only 2 participants Wing our teacher was able to give us extra attention and help us create our pottery.pieces.
5/5 from Madi Wheeler, attended Jul 2026: Great space and teacher was so attentive to ensure everyone had fun and succeeded in creating something they liked! Would highly recommend as fun night and activity!
5/5 from David Luke, attended Jul 2026: Teacher was excellent, very patient and informative... we had a great time
5/5 from Ume Hani, attended Jul 2026: Teacher was very helpful and class was fun!
4/5 from Kate Allan, attended Jul 2026: It was a little disappointing to have paid for 2 hours on the wheel, and then get very little time on it because we had to watch and listen to instructions for half an hour. By the time we got to give it a go, we had all forgotten what she told us. We all agreed it would have been more fun to give it a go ourselves and have directions as we went along. It was also very cold in there but this is just a small gripe. We enjoyed ourselves and have ticked this off our bucket list.
5/5 from Amber Wong, attended Jun 2026: super fun and teachers were very friendly and helpful
5/5 from Carly Thomson, attended Jun 2026: The wheel throwing class was amazing! So much fun. The instructor was knowledgable and so helpful. It was such a cool studio with lots is inspiration on display. Would highly recommend giving wheel throwing clay a go if you’ve ever considered this!

5/5 from Keenan Heng, attended May 2026: Had such a great time at the wheel throwing class! Mackenzie was an awesome teacher, patient, encouraging, and made the whole experience super enjoyable. It was definitely challenging learning the techniques, but also a lot of fun and really rewarding. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to try something creative and different!
5/5 from Exha Gumapac, attended Apr 2026: In the session, we made our own stuff and i decided to make a tiny bowl. Our teacher was really good with demonstrating the techniques on the wheel and was really helpful and accomodating. She was also very patient and even let us stay longer than intended just to have more time with painting! I really love how we have the freedom to create anything within our skills and have as much clay we want, cuz it makes room for us to improve which is very motivating. Overall, I would highly recommend this class! I will definitely go back next time!

3/5 from Bianca Gestinari, attended Mar 2026: It is a nice class. But the amount of clay given is WAY too little. Not many options of what we can do and explore.
5/5 from Jeffrey Argent, attended Feb 2026: Wife gave me a gift voucher for Christmas and we made it a date night. It was so much fun! We definitely have a greater appreciation for potters now. 5/5 from Paige Johnston, attended Jan 2026: It was super fun and the teachers were so patient as nd helpful with the whole class. We all got to make about 2-3 pieces each and pick our favourite one to paint on glaze and get to take it home. We really enjoyed and would definitely come back and do it again. Getting the chance to make one with the guidance and help from the teacher was great and then to have a shot at doing it yourself and if you need help the instructors would come and help you out was awesome. The teachers were super helpful answered all of our questions and made sure we all had the best time.
5/5 from Amber Bille, attended Jan 2026: The teacher was very helpful and understanding with zero judgment, it was my first time spinning clay so it was a bit difficult at first (for me lol) but I’m actually excited to see how my creation turns out :)
5/5 from Wendy Booth, attended Jan 2026: The instructor was very helpful and all the staff plesent. It is a great way to have fun and laugh with others in the group
5/5 from Amber Pascoe, attended Dec 2025: Our group had a fantastic time doing the wheel throwing class for our end of year celebration. There were lots of laughs through the trial and error, followed by a real sense of achievement after using our hands to create an artwork. Alisa, our teacher, was great — really supportive and helpful whenever we got stuck or felt unsure.
5/5 from Nathanael Lau, attended Dec 2025: Good beginner class for clay throwing and very informative. The instructor was kind enough to let us stay back for longer even after our session time to give us more time to drink and paint.

4/5 from Luke Novosad, attended Nov 2025: Great class we had heaps of fun, the experience definitely humbled us on how difficult it can be I definitely have a new found respect for the craft. We did the sip and clay spin class and had a great teacher who did her utmost to help everyone which was great.
5/5 from Karen Stevens, attended Sep 2025: Would highly recommend one of these classes. I thoroughly enjoyed our Clay and Sip Class on Saturday. Our instructor Ju was so patient, kind and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. It was a lovely day with the girls and I can’t wait to pick up my new jewellery dish and also book in for another class soon. Don’t hesitate to sign up today
5/5 from Leonie Noble, attended Sep 2025: My husband and I had a wonderful time. The teacher was kind and very patient. We both made 2 lovely little pots. I can’t wait to take another class

5/5 from Alyssia Tezner, attended Aug 2025: We had a lovely class! It was easy to book, easy to find and we all had a great time.
1/5 from Jody Holdback, attended Aug 2025: Worst experience. Friends and I booked in for what we thought would be a relaxing afternoon of wheel throwing, but this was not to be. I have a disability so called in advance to talk to them about the class and would they like me to bring a support person. The answer was no as they hurried to get me off the phone. They were unorganized when we arrived, even though the teacher waited until everyone was seated and she had everyone’s attention before she told me I could not do the class. Directed back to the hand building class with my friends, but to add insult to injury when the teacher walked around the table to provide feedback she skipped over me every time, like I did not exist. As the hand building class included painting a faint indent on the clay, it excluded me completely. This is only the few poor points of the day. Their only excuse was they misunderstood, which does not explain the poor treatment. I would never attend here again.
5/5 from Emily Spinks, attended Jul 2025: Had a great time at our pottery class, the teacher was skilled and great at directing the class. I made a cool little project that I get to keep forever
5/5 from Michelle Wirthensohn, attended Jul 2025: The teacher was great, very patient. I made three small bowls and we had time to glaze as well.
5/5 from Sharon Oliver, attended Jul 2025: Great teacher...(very patient lol) great fun and would recommend to anyone to give it a try. Thanks for a fun afternoon.
5/5 from Kiruthika Thamarai, attended Jul 2025: Lovely class, wish there was more time for the actual throwing (had to rush the glaze), but great instructor - perfect for beginners :) They'll fire extra pieces past the first one for a small fee
4/5 from Lily Castine-Price, attended Jul 2025: The teacher was great!! So knowledgeable and very helpful for everyone. She was patient when people didn’t know what they were doing. Only piece of feedback would be to make the warehouse more comfortable with heating or closing the big door as it was the middle of winter
5/5 from Emma Wohlers, attended Jun 2025: We attended the sip and pottery wheel throwing class as a girls night and enjoyed it immensley. The teacher was very attentive and patient. We will be back.
5/5 from Claire Lewis, attended Jun 2025: This was a great class. The teacher was very patient, wheel throwing is not as easy as it looks! Even though I was really struggling to get my clay to co-operate, there was no pressure from the teacher to hurry up, and he was more than happy to help me to make sure that I was able to complete at least one piece. I would definitely recommend ClassBento.
5/5 from Kristi Schlup, attended Jun 2025: Lucy, age 11: I give her five stars! The instructor showed me how to do it, but didn’t do it for me. She gave me creative freedom. Mum: loved our mother/daughter time in a relaxed, fun environment!
5/5 from Kate Walker, attended Jun 2025: The class was so much fun! We had a demonstration and step by step visual on how to get our clay ready and shaped. Definitely coming back
5/5 from Karen Derrington, attended Jun 2025: We had our daughters 40th birthday here They were lovely and and it was so much fun They communicated so well with booking it Actually answering my phone calls and messages quite quickly Would go again thanks Karen
5/5 from Diane Cass, attended May 2025: I loved this class. It was friendly, professional, and supportive. Amazingly, I ended up with an item that looks like an actual pot and can be used as such, when it's ready of course (needs to be fired in the kiln first). I definitely recommend this class and the wonderful staff!
5/5 from Tamika Watts, attended May 2025: Used this class as a mothers day gift for my Mum. As complete beginners, our teacher, Ryan, was very clear in the provided instructions with accompanying demonstration, and very helpful at providing the required finishing touches on the pieces. Appreciated having the opportunity to do two pieces and being able to chose the one I like best to paint and keep. Was a very fun and enjoyable experience.
5/5 from Sarah Hacking, attended Apr 2025: We had the best time at our sip and pottery class. The teacher was very patient with us and explained the process really well, highly recommend.
4/5 from Chris Herbert, attended Apr 2025: I enjoyed the class, and the company that I was with. We all had quite a few laughs while making our pots. The teacher explained things well, but I found that I ended up doing it my way as my finger nails are long that the butterfly manouver did not work. She helped me in using the sponge instead.
5/5 from Halina Kudra, attended Feb 2025: Beautiful class! Would recommend to anyone for a date night or gals night
