Explore pinching and coiling techniques to make two hand built mugs

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 (public classes), 4 to 30

label $130 (or 4 payments of $32.50 Afterpay)

Come along to our cosy garden studio and explore hand building clay to create your very own hand-formed mugs.

In this beginner-friendly class, you will start by preparing (also known as wedging) and weighing your clay and then forming it into round balls.

With the teacher's guidance, you will then begin the pinching process to create the base of your mugs. Once the base shapes are made, you will learn about coiling and how to add height to your mugs.

Finally, you will finish off by making and attaching a handle to your beautiful mugs.

You will also get an opportunity to choose a glaze from the seven house glazes that we offer.

By the end, you will have made two handmade mugs that are perfect for your home or to give to a loved one as a personalised gift.

Please note: Once the workshop is completed, your pieces will be fired then glazed by your teacher, then fired again. It will be ready for collection two to four weeks after the workshop date.
