What you'll do

On the search for fun Gold Coast activities? Learn pottery techniques to make a unique clay planter for your home with Firebird Studios!

There are a few techniques we can use to make really cool planters – coil building gives you the chance to make a larger and more decorative planter, plus we can make some cute creations with slip casting, pinch pots, and slab building.

You can choose your second pot (or maybe even a third…) from the samples in the class!

During this class, you will be shown the techniques to ensure that your pots will make it successfully through the firing process, and will be 100 per cent functional for you to use at home.

The pots will be built by you, the fired by us, glazed for you in Studio White Glaze, then fired again. In about four weeks you will receive a message to come in and collect your beautiful pieces!
