I am a Biomedical Research Scientist mum who loves to crochet, and interested in improving mental health in the community.
I learned to crochet when I was 10 years old with my mum and sisters, my dad sent us all to private sewing and crocheting school. Since then I developed a love for crochet as a craft that enables me to relax and keeps my mind healthy.

When i moved to Australia I found a women's crochet group and joined them, sharing experiences and joy.

I find great satisfaction especially in completing crochet projects. I sent my first crochet blanket as a gift to my friend who lives in Melbourne.

I love teaching. When I first started I taught my daughters how to crochet, then I decided to start teaching women and kids in my community.

Come to discover the beauty of this almost forgotten yet still alive relaxing craft with many benefits.

The teacher was lovely. Very welcoming and kind. I enjoyed the class and learnt what I needed to help start off the basics.
I am left handed. Teaching techniques were adapted and evolved during the course. If you are left handed - it’s good to jet your teacher know before.
I will book in with Soma again happily.

I was at a very basic level of crochet and wanted to refresh my existing knowledge. This class is very well suited to beginners and provides a great foundation to enable crochet practise moving forward. The teacher is delightful and has put much thought into providing a well organised course structure and pleasant learning environment. All items required for the class are supplied together with light refreshments. Overall I would recommend this class.
