Would you like focused, uninterrupted me-time with like-minded crafters and a teacher on hand to guide you? Join us in our beautiful modern open space!
We'll guide you through crocheting your own Hexagon Cardigan. You decide on your own colour combination or go with a single colour. BYO all materials but we can also help you to purchase yarn, crochet hook and wool needle. We'll provide you with the printed pattern, beautiful location and a specialist crochet teacher.
Suitable for intermediate crochet skill level - To attend this class, you need to already be comfortable with chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. If you're new to crochet, please attend our Beginners Crocheting Workshop first (see other listing).
In this class, with the guidance of our crochet specialist teacher, you'll be learning how to make your own Hexagon Cardigan, following a beginner-friendly crochet pattern.
Crafty Heaven!
Lesson Plan - attend both sessions:
Lesson 1 (3-hours): Start the cardigan, learn all steps needed to complete the main body. Your homework prior to attending Lesson 2 is to complete both sides of the main body.
Lesson 2 (3-hours): You'll learn the shoulder seam, body join, and seaming edges to complete your cardigan.
Optional:
Attend as many lessons as you need to complete your garment, or if you'd like more in-depth learning. It's up to you how much homework (amount of crocheting you do between classes) you complete before attending your next class. It is possible to learn enough in two lessons to complete your cardigan.
Materials: Bring-your-own yarn and hook.
Yarn - Worsted, 10ply or 12ply is preferable. You'll need 200g x four colours, or 800g one colour. Larger sizes will require an extra 200g of the outer two contrast colours (or 400g one colour).
Hook - to suit your yarn, a size 5, 6 or 7 is ideal.
Printed Hexagon Cardigan pattern will be provided to you in class, for you to keep.
To Book: Book into your first lesson date, come to class, and we'll discuss with you about separately booking your second lesson date. It is possible for students to complete the cardigan with two lessons when they complete the in-between class homework to progress their pieces. But you are welcome to stagger out your progress over 3 or more lessons (we understand you may be busy during the week and hey, this is supposed to be relaxing), as long as you are enjoying the process and your crochet journey, that's the important thing! :)
This is an adults-only session, 17yo and upwards.
You'll receive plenty of 1:1 teacher guidance. Multiple specialist crochet teachers will be in class as needed to suit class size.
Class will be held in our classroom (see photo) on Hay Street, Subiaco. Sundays there is free street parking right outside our building.
