Dash Finishing School was established in Melbourne, Australia in the year 2016 as an initiative to encourage self-development and personality enhancement for teens and adults. We offer workshops and programs that aim to enrich every aspect of a participant’s personality, creativity and appearance thereby making them versatile and well presented individuals.

The workshops and programs are designed to be exciting, interactive and extremely personalised. They are primarily practical in nature to give participants hands-on experience in learning. In-class teaching methods are adapted to suit individual style and perception. Batch sizes are kept small and exclusive to ensure that each and every participant gets the attention that they deserve.

The teachers knowledge was great, quality of product were great. Sharing the mould and watching others hygiene, then not necessarily getting the ones you made was disappointing. Should have own mould and only take the ones you touched. No handwashing was encouraged or enforced.

This was my first experience of making and handling chocolate and I must say it couldn’t have been better. I learnt so much from the teacher. I could easily tell she had a lot knowledge and experience in chocolate making. The whole class had tons of questions and she was super happy to answer them all and that too in great detail. The class couldn’t have been any better.

Sal was a fantastic teacher, she kept us engaged and entertained with the wonders of chocolate. It was 33oC, but we still managed to make chocolates, learning several different methods and styles, and with the aircon on full blast all the way home they made it without melting.

Can't wait to practice at home.

Just be the teacher was excellent- knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She tailored information to suit individual class members. Justine provided many helpful hints and tips on how to style our hair and get professional results. We were given an excellent booklet to keep, had a kit to use for the class everything we needed was available. Justine provided useful help with products to buy suiting a range of budgets. The location was great simple to find and easy to park. We learnt about hot to blow wave our hair then various braids, ponytails, buns were demonstrated and we practiced doing these on ourselves. I felt I got great value for money and would recommend this course to people like me who are challenged when it comes to producing slick hairdos!

I received the chocolate making class as a gift for Christmas . I wasn’t too sure whether I would enjoy it or not , but I was pleasantly suprised . Sal was my teacher and she was awesome , she was super down to earth and so friendly which made you feel so welcome and made it so easy and comfortable to ask questions . I really learnt a lot from the class and realised it is actually a lot easier to do than I thought . We received instructions on making lots of different chocolates and got to take them all home .
I would highly recommend the class to others .
The only feedback I would give would be that I think it would be nicer if everyone had their own tray each time to work on rather than have to wait for each person to do theirs and then pass it on to the next person .

the venue was clean and elegant, not enormous, but plenty of space. Our host was delightful and patient and made a point of ensuring that a very quiet attendee was included and given as much attention as the louder participants.

Teacher was really lovely and helpful. Location was easy and so easy parking. Class size was small and intimate so you had the chance to ask questions and have a chat with others. It was overall a fun experience where I learnt different and cool ways to wrap gifts. It’s worth the money. And we were offered refreshments during the class too which was a nice touch.

I am so happy I did this! I learnt exactly what I wanted to. Justine was amazing, fantastic teacher. We did so much, braids, twists, puffs, blow dry techniques, as well as curling with straighteners, tongs and wands.

I didnt paid $160 class because I want play with the chocolate. Of course not. I paid $160 for get deep information about how make differents chocolate bites for sell in our business, but unfortunately I always got cold answers when I made some questions. F9r example one of my questions, where can I buy Callebaut and the teacher just said look on the internet. . Where can I buy the silicon molds, and everything for make the design, she said, look on the internet , another question that I made she said you can look in YouTube, again? Does she really trust in YouTube?,, wtf unbelievable, and the class was really fast, on my God. I'm very disappointed, I was treated as robot. She didn't have to much time. She didnt have to much patience. She works with Callebout yes the best product, one point for the teacher, but she didn't tell us that Mayers fine food, Callebout, had a Chocolate and pettiserie showcase this week, that would be really important information for continue expand and learning about the industry,. so my first time and my last time with classbento about this courses. The people as this teacher can't stolen my money in my face. Sorry but not.

A fun way to spend 3 hours and really enjoyed taking home a box of chocolates. Pearly was friendly and informative. This class was good for a beginner with no previous experience in making chocolates- I would have liked to learn some more advanced techniques/skills.
I think the venue was a bit small - a commercial/TAFE kitchen would have been better and it would have been good to each have our own moulding trays rather than having to share them. Otherwise- a really good session

So many simple tips that will help care for my skin and develop an easy routine on makeup application. Price was reasonable for the tuition. Lots of laughs

Shazra was a very good teacher who patiently assisted all of the class participants (small class of only six people, which was great) and gave us all a good understanding of techniques. We learned some great everyday techniques as well as "glam" eyeshadow techniques, so was a good balance. Finally, the set up was great with brushes supplied and a few snacks to have throughout the class. Thanks Shazra!

The facilities were lacking, expected a kitchen but we were in a meeting room with a microwave.

For the cost of the class, I would’ve expected to have had more equipment/individual moulds to work with, rather than a hands on group experience. The singular mould and bowl of chocolate is passed around the group to do a row. Lots of hands involved.
Would’ve been great to experience colouring the chocolate.

You take home chocolates made by the group, not necessarily ones you’ve made.

A thoroughly enjoyable class made up of women from mixed ages and cultures.
A safe space to explore make up and a beautiful shared experience of empowerment and confidence boosting from all attendees.
Shazra, the tutor was very attentive and answered our many questions with patience and easy to understand instructions.
Venue was great with plenty of free weekend street parking.
Tea, coffee and water available and biscuits. You might want to take some fruit or something to nibble on.
I feel confident to try out what l learned at home.

Throughly enjoyed this class. Our teacher Devyani was awesome. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and spent time making sure we understood and learnt the techniques she was teaching.

Divyani was our teacher and is also the founder of Dash finishing school. She was so lovely and helpful to each and every one of us in her class. From donut buns to French braids to fishtails to curling and straightening your hair, she covered it all. Differences between hairspray and hair lacquer, volumising spray, dry shampoo, recommendations for products. A great way to spend the weekend.

Shaz was very personable and knowledgeable and let us try all the expensive make up products she brought with her. She correctly matched the colour of foundation for our complexions and had a lot of recommendations on which products work. We learnt how to do smoky eyes and glamour eyes which was not suitable for smaller eyes we learnt. I had a good time.

Firstly, I have to preface this by saying that Colleen was a wonderful teacher who genuinely put so much thought and care into the class. She was extremely approachable and made the class very fun! However, my issue is with the pricing of the class itself - we had to work in groups to create the desserts because there was not enough equipment - this is not what was expected if I am paying $150 per person! If I am tempering chocolate, I should be able to do it individually and not have to share. Since it is a cooking lesson, I would have expected a kitchen, not a small room with one small microwave and barely any proper utensils. The desserts were good, but the class is not worth $150.

Thank you for your feedback Prakriti and sorry to hear about your experience. However, we would like to clarify the price you paid is for a group workshop and not a private session, hence tools and equipment are shared. Since it is a workshop for self development; we have deigned the module bearing in mind to simplify the art of chocolate making in order for our students to be able to replicate it for personal use without having to purchase a whole lot of equipment. Having said that, we have had ample enterprising minds who have progressed through their journey of being pastry chefs, cafe owners introducing a chocolate range etc post the workshop. Technically, we do not classify this particular workshop as a ‘cooking’ class and falls under our creative section so does not require a kitchen. We do strive for excellence and focus on quality and hence keep the number of participants to 8 during this workshop so everyone gets equal individual attention. The space was a bit small for the. Class and a second microwave would of assisted in the flow of the class.

The teacher was good but for the money spent I didn’t think it was worth it . The people who were at the class were lovely. But we had to share the moulds and had to wait one person at a time which made the workshop too long and you had to rush. And just microwaving the chocolate didn’t make it worth it because I could have done this at home by watching YouTube . So it didn’t match up to the cost for me . I was expecting to be at a cooking school . But for someone who doesn’t know at all about making chocolate , this course was informative .
