He was very patient and generous with his time, going above and beyond to help us with anything we needed or wanted a hand with, always sharing his tips and tricks along the way. Highly recommend this class to anyone wishing to improve their understanding of photography and applying these concepts to take better quality photos.

He ran us through important manual settings and what they meant and some excellent tips on framing and structuring photos as well. He was very knowledgeable, patient and thorough and we really enjoyed our session with him. Highly recommended, excellent value for money considering how much we spend on these cameras!

Paul was super helpful and considerate of each individual’s needs, and had no problems with teaching advanced techniques if he believed we were ready. We did texture and long exposure photography, as well as working with composition and learning how to photograph vehicles and objects in motion without blur. I learned a lot and really enjoyed it.

I learned so much about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and how they all work together. The hands-on exercises were really helpful as we toured different parts of Melbourne CBD, and I felt confident experimenting with different settings by the end of the class. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their photography skills!

I learnt heaps about the exposure triad, light and dark contrasts, capturing moving targets, getting the most out of capturing colours, the golden hour and Sun star shots. Now just have to put the time in with appropriate practice!

We had a small session so we had lots of chances to ask questions and learn from Paul. He was able to spend time with each of us and was genuinely interested in how we were going. and if things were making sense. I have definitely learned more about photography and now need to go and put it into practice.

We walked around various places within the city. She had a crisp plan for these locations. She shared her experiences while walking around and pointing at things and ways how a certain picture could be made interesting. Overall an interesting sesssion. She is open to share her learning, friendly and flexible to our requirements

David was very knowledgeable and helpful and truly loves photography and you can tell he wants everyone else to fall in love with it the way he did! He took the time to walk each of us through our camera technology and was just so thorough and passionate! Would definitely recommend this to friends! I had ZERO knowledge of anything camera related and he walked me through every thing without batting and eyelid or treating me any differently!

He went in depth about the technical stuff with plenty of examples and little tasks for us to do. I think it was a great lesson for beginner photographers. It explained at the complex camera things like iso, aperture, shutter speed etc. Everything you'd need to take pictures in any circumstances. The lesson was plentiful and Paul was happy to go overtime to teach the final lesson. A truly wonderful lesson packed full of valuable information for any beginner photographer. I recommend lesson this for any beginner photographer.

Walking around the top end of Melbourne city we were shown how to familiarize ourselves with aperture and shutter mode, moving to how to use them in manual. The venues were great - RMIT campus, Queen Vic Market and the interior of the State Library. Each venue was an opportunity for Luke to teach us different ways of working in manual mode. This class is definitely worth the time if you are interested in expanding the use of your digital camera. Alfonzo’s ebook on travel photography has great tips too.

We had multiple locations we shot photos at and a different skill we learnt at each. Would recommend to any beginners who are wanting to get to know their camera settings a bit better.

Well the communication about the course, feedback to questions such as equipment to bring, meeting place (several confirmation notes) and empathy when I had to postpone my session (I will definitely do it soon!) was absolutely superb. Alfonso's Tours and his tutors are not just super photographers, which would be super enough, but super people too. Thank you very much for your thoroughness, kindness and empathy.
