Looking for fun hobbies and love your picture? Try this tufting class in Perth and learn how to make a rug of or for your beloved pattern! If you like handmade and are interested in tufting, this class is for you.
In this class, we will teach you how to use our tufting gun to create your own unique artwork of your picture. Don't worry if you have no experience, come and enjoy your first tufting experience led by a knowledgeable instructor.
You will be able to choose from more than 40 colors of 12 ply yarn to create your artwork. The frame you will be using is 70x70 cm, so you could make a big rug or multiple coasters to share with friends and family.
Bring an image that you would like to turn into a tufted creation. In class, you will be able to project your image onto the primary backing fabric for you to trace. And then, let the tufting begin!
This class makes for great gift experience ideas or fun things to do in Perth. Maybe you'll even discover a new hobby!
Note: Each frame will be provided with one tufting gun and can be shared by a maximum of two people. The price is per frame.

There's a lot you can do yourself, in terms of the tufting and choosing your design - but the teacher is always there to help, and the hard parts (gluing amd backing) are done for you. Would recommend.

Projecting the picture and gettign it just right, to pickign the colours and actually moving onto the tufting and using different techniques to get a fluid line (was very difficult!) So much support provided and the detail to attention completing the final product. Was heaps of fun and I am in love with my rug, as well as my cats!

Our teachers Bowen and Sherry were great and super attentive, very patient and always checking to see if we were doing okay and ready to give us tips or assistance (or chocolate and snacks) if we needed any. The technique was quite simple to learn but the gun is a bit heavy, so after a couple of hours my arm did get a bit tired. Great experience overall, and I got to take home a very cute rug!
