Built in 1922, our unassuming two-story venue on William St, Northbridge was once home to The Patch Theatre, founded by Edward & Ida Beeby in the late 1930’s.

A dynamic duo with a flair for theatrics, activism and a little champagne socialism, Edward & Ida are the perfect muses to inspire long lunches and late nights at this little pub & cocktail den.

It was a 60th birthday gift and we went with both our adult kids. The entrance to Edward & Idas may not seem much but inside it's a different story. More like a European bar with lots of atmosphere. We had a private cocktail making session in the downstairs bar area, which is another cozy place to be. We had a fantastic time. Adam, the bartender was very knowledgeable and a nice guy to boot.
We made two cocktails, a margarita and a negroni with tasty toasties being served between making the two cocktails.
We highly recommend this activity and a great way for our family to spend some time together.

Great venue! The team looked after us very well and they were great masterclass teachers. We were a group of 8 and had the room to ourselves for the afternoon. Sipping on cocktails and learning how to make them while spending a great afternoon with friends. Thank you, I will definitely recommend it.
