Hi! I’m Chez, a fibre artist, forever creative, alpaca farm owner and educator based in Michelago NSW, 40 mins south of Civic/Canberra.
My love of teaching art started when I helped with art classes in my daughters’ classrooms, which then spurred me on to achieve a B. of Education. Although after graduating I didn’t teach in schools, I ended up educating adults and children for various government agencies, both with face-to-face and online learning for over 15 years.
My passion for fibre arts, and specifically felt making, developed over the last 4 years when we moved out of town to a 21 acre property and we soon found ourselves the owners of 29 alpacas - we call it alpaca maths…started with just a couple and things progressed rapidly!
We now have a small business based around all that goes on at our farm including an online store selling felted homewares, photographic prints (& puzzles, greeting cards +) and all things alpaca! We've recently opened bookings for workshops on farm to learn felting skills and to see the alpacas from where our beautiful fleece grows – truly paddock to take-home felted item.
I have a passion for teaching and making, love meeting new people, hosting events and collaborating with others businesses in fun and creative ways.
Look forward to meeting you soon.
