Immerse your creative kids in a world of vibrant colors and artistic expression with our fluid art class in Melbourne. In this workshop, they will learn the mesmerizing technique of fluid art, also known as pouring art or acrylic pouring. This fun and accessible activity is perfect for all ages, making it an ideal experience for every kind of kid out there.
Under the guidance of experienced teacher Julie, your kids will discover the wonders of fluid art as they create their own magnificent, colorful pieces of artwork. Whether it's a single painting on a 30x40cm canvas or two smaller canvases, each participant will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity and bring their unique vision to life.
No prior experience is needed, as Julie will be there to support your kids throughout their vibrant journey of acrylic pouring. With her current Working with Children Check, Police Check, and NDIS screening check, you can have peace of mind knowing that your child/ren are in caring and qualified hands.
Here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
  • Parents/carers are welcome to stay and participate, but it is not required unless your child needs individualized support. Let us know in the checkout comments if you plan to stay. Please note that only one adult per child is allowed.
  • This class is open for parents and carers to join in, so you can make it a memorable family activity. However, adults can only participate when accompanied by a child. This class is not suitable for adults by themselves.
  • As fluid art needs to lie flat to dry, your child's masterpiece cannot be taken home on the day. Rest assured, you can pick it up from the studio within one to three days' time.
Join us for this engaging and transformative fluid art class in Melbourne, where your creative kids will learn new skills, express their imagination, and create beautiful artwork to cherish for years to come. Let their artistic journey begin!

FLUID ART:
Join a class and you will be introduced to the wonder of fluid art where you can literally ‘go with the flow’ and let your imagination soar and create beautiful vivid pieces of artwork with astonishing designs of swirling gradients. Create original abstract art that you will wow your family and friends and you will be proud to put on your wall.
Julie is a passionate fluid artist who has been exploring this art form for more than 10 years after a lifetime of art, crafts and all things creative. Julie believes that art can enrich and transform our lives, and loves helping people find and express their creativity.
Julie is the Director of Live For Art, an art studio in Richmond Vic. Julie has managed community organisations for many years, has a Masters degree in Social Work and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
CHILDREN'S classes are held in the school holiday's and starting in 2026, after school, offering a range of art and craft activities, including paper mache sculpture, book making, acrylic painting, fluid art, printing, collage and more.
All tutors have a Working with Children's Check and experience working with children. You can be at ease knowing your child/ren are in caring, professional and qualified hands.
PRINTING AND COLLAGE
We now run Gelli Printing classes and other forms of printing like Cyanotype. Look out for Collage classes too, where we create different papers and use them to create stunning collages.
FOR ALL CLASSES … you need NO painting experience. Classes are suitable for the novice as well as hobbyists and artists looking to develop skills in specific new techniques. Everyone is welcome and included. Bring your friends or come along and make new ones.
At Live For Art, ‘creating art for life’ isn’t just a slogan – expressing our creativity brings pleasure, fulfillment, builds self-esteem, and literally colours our day. Let us help you create ‘art for life’.
