Let your inner creative take the wheel at this fun fluid art workshop in Melbourne with Live For Art and create a unique masterpiece you can proudly hang on your wall!
In this fluid art workshop, you will be using a technique called the 'Sandwich Pour', so-called because you sandwich paint between other layers of paint and create stunning lines and cells.
This class will cover:
  • How to prepare your canvas
  • How to mix paints and paint mediums suitable for this technique
  • Which recipes are good for this technique and what difference this makes.
  • How to choose colours and layer your paints on the canvas.
  • How to create beautiful cells and lacing in your art
After some paint play and practise on a small canvas, you will create your masterpiece on a 12 x 16 inch (30 x 40cm) gallery-wrapped canvas or similar that you can collect after three days drying time. Want to go bigger? There is also an option to upgrade the size of your canvas to a 16 x 20 inch (40 x 50cm) canvas. You can choose this option at checkout. This is a good technique to go bigger, as the paint is poured on from a cup, so coverage is somewhat easier.
If you're looking for relaxing things to do in Melbourne, why not join this fluid art workshop and unwind with like-minded creatives as you learn new skills.
Please note:
  • You will use non-toxic acrylic paint.
  • The maximum class size is 8 students.
  • Do not attend the class if you have or are a close primary contact of anyone with COVID-19, or if you are experiencing fever, chills or sweat, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, a runny nose or have a loss of taste or smell (a full refund will be provided if you are unwell).
