It’s our job to get you excited about discovering Melbourne! We tell the stories of the places we visit while sharing food. You’ll leave feeling excited about the treasures Melbourne has to offer.

Monique Bayer is the soul behind Walk Melbourne. She loves food and she loves Melbourne. She’s happiest when she’s working at the intersection between food and storytelling – stories about the people who bring food and coffee to Melbourne, both then and now. Monique is the winner of the 2014 RACV Victorian Tourism Award for Youth Achievement.

Best of all, you benefit from the 15 years Monique has spent sitting on milk crates in alleyways and finding those food treasures… just to share it all with you!

Great combination of history and food! Delicious treats that catered for vegetarians. Great to go to new and old tiny nooks in the city and not the obvious foodie spots.

Good selection of food tastings with a little bit of Melbourne history and architecture thrown in. Well paced, and the tour guide was happy to answer any questions.

Thank you Melinda for taking us on an informative and inspiring gastronomic tour of the alleyways of Melbourne. Being a Melbournite, I still discovered new food places and interesting tidbits about the history of the laneways.

The food was quite a good selection - Bahn Mi, dumplings (excellent!), chocolate, macarons, coffee, gelato (yummy!) and a cocktail to end the tour.

Our guide was both friendly and knowledgeable and was able to give us a personalised and tailored experience. Thanks again!
