The workbook shows a lot of work put in. Amanda was excellent for the role, and a fellow traveller in that she is working on books Venue was perfect - association with books is a good trope. group size of 7 to 8 is ideal materials were useful aides and aide memoirs - I would encourage the addition of the heroine's journey chart as it is a different arc to the Campbell Hero quest. The fifty values chart was interesting. The class was a good spur to get on and do things - got me to revisit a movie script, two novels and a family history that have been dagging around largely unfinished. during the process of the course I broke the back of the Third Act in one of the novels that had been elusive for me over the past 12 months. The course gave added spur I did think several times whether $400 odd bucks for a four week course would be value for money given I've literally got dozens of books on writing on the shelves - but the answer was always going to be in the people and the interaction. I enjoyed the sessions, the ability to break bread and eat nibbles, and have opportunity to contribute to conversation. + more
