  • 5/5 from Robert French, attended Mar 2026: Great class. Learnt a lot. Instructor Brett was fantastic with our small class. I hadnt touched wood working tools for 30 years, but Brett gave our small crew the knowledge, demonstrations and the chance to use both small tools like drills, plunge routers, biscuits, and the big boys in plunge and table saws, thicknessers, jointers etc. Took away a great experience, and a couple of neat bits of woodwork. Very happy to have taken the chance on this course
  • 5/5 from Daniel Haughey, attended Mar 2026: I'm a complete beginner and so was delighted to make polished small items of furniture, a stool and chopping board. We started from recycled timber and learned how to dress it into furniture grade. We learned how to use a range of tools from hand tools to power tools to commercial grade tools. We also learned about furniture design. Brett is a very experienced furniture maker and excellent teacher. Plenty of good conversation along the way. I feel ready to take on my next projects.

The instructor led us effortlessly in an adult manner taking into account at all times our different levels of skill and confidence. As well as showing us how to use equipment safely to do a specific task he always digressed to give a greater overview of what the gear could do. It felt like more than just a woodworking class.

  • 5/5 from Sue Taylor, attended Nov 2025: Excelent Hi ya I finished this course today and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. It was a small class of 4, 3 women 1 guy. It had a lovely relaxed feeling but we were also busy working on our projects the whole 3 hours. We all completed a 4 legged stool and a chopping board Brett was an amazing teacher very patient and clearly explained and demonstrated each step and came around to help us. The factory is well set up with work benches as you walk in, and the back area is where the larger electric machines are. We also used these machines with Brett's help to complete our projects. Very happy with this course. I am hoping Brett will run a framing course next year and I will also be attending that PS there is also a nice little coffee shop a couple of factories down which I bought on the way in. Thanks Brett Sue
