Did this course to learn some new skills and safety precautions for some students I will be teaching.
People who ran the course were very friendly and approachable. They answered lots of questions and helped out.
Information was relevant and educational.
We started with some basic skills; chiselling, sawing, clamping, sand papering and accurate measurements with various tools. Then we moved on to starting our chopping board and parts for the table.
We used a router which i used to create little engraving that I'll add resin to and some machinery under close supervision so I felt safe and comfortable the entire time.
All safety gear was provided.
I would absolutely recommend this course, I had lots of fun and will be able to use some of my learning with my students. Not to mention, I have a few souvenirs.

Jason was really patient, and gave thorough explanations for everything. I learned some really practical tips and tricks which I’m really looking forward to applying in my projects.
Would definitely recommend the course to anyone interested in learning more about basic woodcraft.

Absolutely loved this class! The materials provided were of good quality and Daniella is an interesting and fun teacher. Each class is very hands on and got to use heaps of great equipment.
Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for an introduction to woodworking.

Brett and the team at co-craft are great instructors and the course is perfect for both novices as well as those with a little experience.

You get to use a lot of different machinery and tools, which is great to get an and of what’s involved in the craft and how other projects might work.

Really supportive and fun. Would highly recommend!

I truly enjoy the class where I learned a tone of stuff about woodwork and handling machines. The course was designed to deliver specific lessons about basic woodworking techniques and handling machinery. Also in-term of instructors both of them were amazing and they were so friendly and really helpful. I would totally recommend the class to beginner like me and I feel it’s good for the value.

Doing the Custom Furniture Making Course was a really great experience, and Brett's advice and help throughout the course was exceptional.
The piece of furniture I chose to make was a buffet/hutch - a way too ambitious project to finish in the six weeks.
Brett helped me plan how to best use my time in the workshop - completing the parts that I could sand and join at home. He spent time explaining and demonstrating any of the joints that I could make at home. Of course doing all the sanding at home. :( I hate sanding!
I can say that with Brett's help I feel very confident in finishing off the buffet at home.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn more and work on their own project!

Had the best time with Daniella and the crew! They went through each step to make a beautiful cutting board/serving board and coffee table/stool. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a new skill or just want to give woodworking a go! No experience necessary! Lots of support and lots of hands on experience! The space was really conducive to learning too, with your own sets of tools and space! From using hand tools to using the machines, great overall experience!

Jason Wong Nov 2023

Jason and Daniella were great and go through things in detail. Fun quick workshop to get you started in wood working.

Ishani Gunasekara Oct 2023

Fantastic class! Teachers were patient and skilled, and created a supportive atmosphere to work at our own pace. Everything was provided, and we learned a lot over the 4 weeks (coming with no experience). Thoroughly engaging classes.

Had a great time learning some new skills. Teachers were knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend.

Brett May Oct 2023

Really loved the wood working course, I learnt a lot and was great to use all the machines that I would never otherwise get to use. The stool I made turned out better than I expected it would and I am very happy with it.
Daniella and Jason were great teachers, and were very patient with us beginners.

Rally enjoyed the class, the guys teaching were great very informative and helpful. The venue was great, very spacious. all the tools/machines were all in very good condition.
Just knowing how the machines work and how to use the tools made the course worth the money but we as a bonus we got
To make a chopping board and a little coffee table from start to finish. It was great seeing the whole process from start yo finish.
and we got to take them home. I have already purchased some tools to try and replicate the coffee table but bigger.
I will be looking to contact them for possibly building my own design.
Great experience glad I did this.

Daniella is a born teacher. She gives clear instructions and offers constructive suggestions without any pressure. Definitely coming back!

Yinn Lim Jul 2023

The teachers were really knowledgeable, patient and helpful.
Quality materials and tools were provided.
Wish there was more time to complete all 3 projects that was on the agenda for the 4-week course! But I guess it is an attestation to the speed I work at!
I had such a sense of achievement when I completed the chopping board and coffee table. And I hope that I’ll have my own projects down the track that I can take to a co-working workshop to fulfil!
Great course! Highly recommended

Stephen Barrett Jun 2023

Class was great. Very knowledgeable instructors, and our finished tables looked great. It gave me a good dose of confidence to use different tools and I've started doing far more handyman jobs around the house as a result. Thanks!

Learned a lot and teachers were clearly talented. Course didn't include all the advertised projects, or were different to what was advertised. I recommend a pen and paper to make your own notes.

Stuart Haley Jun 2023

Danielle was knowledgeable but the course was fast paced. It was a safe environment but not many tools available for the class. Good venue. More basic skills for joint types but practice makes perfect. Overall a good experience thanks

Ross Hutchins May 2023

I’ve enjoyed the classes, and appreciate the assistance throughout by Jason and Daniela.
The tools and machinery have been fantastic.
The only deficiency perhaps is that we’ve tried to fit too much in on some nights.
The course has given me what I wanted and more.
I wonder if a further course is contemplated, or it is possible to use the facilities and instruction for projects privately, for appropriate fees of course.

Michael Maslen May 2023

I had a fantastic teacher who took time to explain and demonstrate the various techniques and use of tools used during the course. The facility itself was ideal for learning and applying what we had learnt.

Anne Rodda May 2023

Great teachers, easy to follow instructions realistic projects, good introduction to a wide variety of tools, joinings and processes.

Ashley Coleman-Bock Apr 2023

Materials provided were really high quality hard woods - made the finiashed products so beautiful! Teacheers were great; really informative and supportive. The ratio is about 4 students to 1 teacher, so you get really customised and hands on support!
Thought that given the amount of teaching time and the number of things we made, this course is really great value for money and a great introduction for non-woodworkers into woodworking.

Nevin McClintock Apr 2023

I was an absolute beginner and not very handy at all and this class was awesome. I enjoyed all of it. Very helpful teachers, lots of patience to answer all my questions and explain it all over again if something was a bit more tricky to get from the first time. Brett and Daniella are awesome teachers - they are super helpful and approachable but also give you the space to learn things at your own pace. The workspace is really impressive, with heaps of tools. Materials provided for the table-making were really nice. I think the experience is definitely good value for money due to the amount of learning and the fun environment. I also really enjoyed the second half of the course, where we could make a piece of furniture we designed ourselves. I have already recommended this course to multiple people as it's so unique and a great way to spend a few hours mid-week. 10/10 rating!

I really enjoyed the course!

I liked how well structured it was & felt like everyone came out of it confidently about how to use all of the tools unassisted.

Instructor: I liked Brett as an instructor, he knew when people needed instruction and when to let people have a go at something on their own.

Venue: big! And well equipped. The workbench setup & tools available were great.

Value for money: My objective was to come out of the course with:
* A confidence in how to use all of the machinery (safely) unassisted - achieved
* Develop an understanding of common approaches/designs used in making furniture - achieved.

I'd strongly recommend this course to others.

Great class for someone looking to introduce themselves to woodworking. We were taught various techniques through building an actual coffee table. Learnt how to mill wood; create panels; glue; sand; joint with dominos; use the table saw, planer, jointer, drum sander; and finish.

Excellent class. The teacher (Michael) and general atmosphere is extremely welcoming & not at all intimidating to novices like myself.
Michael was a great teacher: knowledgeable, relaxed, patient, & a clear communicator.
On top of all that, we made a bread board, planing board, & propagating stand out of some beautiful reclaimed timber & learnt some new skills along the way.
I will be back & would highly recommend this class to any other novices out there.

I signed up for the introductory 4 week course, which consisted of four weekly 4 hour sessions. Instructor Michael really knew his stuff and was able to guide us to successfully completing our individual projects. The workshop is large and well set up with commercial quality equipment. Amenities were basic but adequate.
Highly recommended for beginners to intermediate skill levels.

Georgia King Feb 2022

This class was fantastic! I didn’t think I would be able to make a whole piece of furniture in four weeks despite NEVER having picked up a plank of wood in my life, but I did it! They really throw you right into the deep end from the first day, so come prepared with an idea of what you want to make; if you spend half of the first class working it out like me, you’ll fall behind. I am super inspired and empowered to learn more now, and have the skills to keep woodworking. (Also, ladies: I was the only woman in the class, and the gents made me feel very welcome. Not a bro-y workshop at all.)
