In this exciting cooking class with Le Cordon Bleu London trained chef Katie White, you will learn how to create classic French dishes to make in your own kitchen for years to come. Roast chicken with celeriac puree, ratatouille, creme brûlée, tarte tartan, and confit garlic are just some of the classic French options to explore during the class. You will learn invaluable basic French techniques including making a mirepoix base for all your soups, classic French sauces such as jus or hollandaise to bring every meal together, and creme anglaise to accompany any dessert.
As with all Katie's classes, the focus is on seasonal and sustainable food. For example, you will learn how to get the most out of all the produce used with very minimal waste. You will also have the option to learn how to make vegetarian versions of each dish so that all your guests can enjoy.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, our friendly and supportive environment is perfect for all skill levels. Throughout the workshop, you'll work with high-quality ingredients and traditional French cooking tools, gaining confidence in your skills. You'll feel at ease as you explore the indulgent and quality flavours of French cuisine.
By the end of the class, you'll finish the day with newfound inspiration and skills and also get to enjoy a beautiful three-course meal, with paired wine as an optional extra, together after the class.
