5.0 (66)I started decorative painting with acrylic paints in 1993 and experimented with different traditional styles from a variety of cultures. Along came children and I put painting on hold.
In 2020 I discovered my love for Watercolour and the large variety of methods and techniques that can be applied. I love that the pigments have a mind of their own and the effects that can be created are just amazing.
These days I’m very happy having a paintbrush back in my hand.
I soon realised that I wanted to connect with others and share the sense of satisfaction I get from painting with local budding artists. Teaching was the next obvious step. I now host classes for beginners as well as those who already have experience and guide them through the projects of their choice.
I work full-time as an artist and teacher and reside in South East Melbourne where I work in my studio in Cranbourne, finally doing what I love - sharing my art and skills with others.

Excellent class. Wendy is a great teacher, patient and knowledgeable. Relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to ask questions. I will definitely attend another class in the future

Our teacher was so kind and patient, the venue was nice, tidy and well set up. Everything we needed was provided. We were taught a variety of different techniques and were given options of what direction the class could take. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed the beginners watercolour class today. The presentation Wendy gave first was really helpful. Would definitely recommend her class to family and friends. I’ll be back :)

Wendy is fabulous, I learnt so much. Everything was clearly explained and all materials were supplied. I couldn’t be happier. Lots of practice from here. Highly recommend . Attached is my work to take home ( not finished yet )

My daughter and I loved our beginners class with Helen. She was an excellent teacher - kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The venue was well set up with quality materials provided. We loved learning the foundations of watercolour painting, and leaving the class with the confidence of being able to paint at home. We’re really happy with what we produced at the end of the class and would highly recommend this class to anyone who was interested.

Wendy was very welcoming and prepared, and her studio area was really well set up. As this was my first attempt at watercolour painting she asked lots of questions about what I had done previously art wise. Can’t wait to get back and have another go. So grateful to be able to explore my creative side.

I enjoyed the class. Wendy explained the techniques well and demonstrated them clearly. I had done some painting previously but never had a lesson before. The equipment was well laid out and it was good to have the tv screen to see each style of painting.

There is something quite magical about watercolour as a medium - the colour blends are just amazing. If you’ve ever dreamed about giving watercolour a go look no further than this class. Wendy was super friendly and knowledgeable and presented the class in an easy to understand fashion. Wendy’s studio is well appointed, comfortable and inspiring, with many of her paintings decorating the walls. All of the materials are supplied and after leaning the basics you can select an image to complete as your take home artwork. I will definitely be returning for another class! Thanks for a great morning Wendy!

My teacher was lovely and the venue was parking accessible as well as the whole setting was comfortable and inviting with a lot of natural light.
Although it was challenging to mix to get the right consistency I wanted for watercolour personally, my teacher was patient and the other resources provided such as masking tapes, cotton watercolour paper, scraps, cloths, all kinds and sizes paint brushes etc were very equiped. I’ll say the experience was good value for money though I would have love to take home more than one completed painting as I did travel a distance for the lesson. I learnt water on dry and dry and water as well as using a different medium of powder paint on my wet painting. I love the relaxing environment the most.

That was the second time I’ve attended Wendy’s watercolour class. I absolutely loved every second of it. Wendy encouraged my freestyle of painting and provided me with additional paints. The atmosphere in the class was heavenly peaceful and it was great to see the different styles of the participants. Can’t wait to do another class.

Wendy was very knowledgeable and very helpful in the class.
We had a great time. The setup that she has is fantastic, she has all the tools you might need in creating a watercolour painting within the time that the course runs for.
I found the experience to be enjoyable and relaxing.

Excellent class! We loved it, Wendy was able to show/teach us enough to create our masterpieces just in two hrs. We’ve learned different techniques, were introduced to the powder paints which were gorgeous to use. Would definitely recommend this class and hope to attend for more classes :)

Wendy is an excellent teacher and an amazing artist. I’m no artist and I’ve never worked with watercolours before so it was really interesting to learn a new technique. I purchased one of Wendy’s kits so I can now enjoy painting with water colours at home.

Having never painted with water colour before I was not sure what to expect but the teacher started with an explanation of how it works & we practised doing exercises.
Then we actually did a painting under close guidance & with lots of help.
Very happy with my first artwork but it’s absolutely far from perfect.
Loved the experience & would recommend the class
