I began my creative journey in 1993 with decorative painting in acrylics, exploring traditional styles inspired by a variety of cultures. Acrylic was my first love, and I enjoyed experimenting with colour, pattern, and technique.
In 2020, I rediscovered my passion for watercolour. I was captivated by the many methods and techniques the medium offers, and I still marvel at the way the pigments seem to have a mind of their own, creating beautiful and often unexpected effects.
Today, I happily paint with both acrylic and watercolour. I love the contrast between them — acrylic’s vibrancy and versatility, and watercolour’s fluidity and spontaneity.
It wasn’t long before I realised I wanted to connect with others and share the satisfaction and joy I experience through painting. Teaching felt like the natural next step.
I now host classes for beginners as well as those with more experience, guiding students through projects at their own pace in a supportive and relaxed environment.
I work full-time as an artist and teacher in South East Melbourne, creating and teaching from my studio in Cranbourne — finally doing what I love, and sharing my art and skills with others.
