  • 5/5 from Claire Beck, attended Aug 2026: Really had a fun time. Wendy was very informative and explained the technical componants of water colour painting. We practiced the different techniques and were able to do our own creation. We all did the same basic design, but of course they were all different. She provided guidance and suggestions along the way so I was able to came away with something I could share with others. I would recommend it for people who are able to paint, but also if you like me haven't done it since school you will create worth while.

The technique's demonstrated by Wendy was simply Brillant. She walked through techniques step by step whilst sharing great product knowledge and tips. I was amazed how much I was learning whilst in the session!!! Wendys is a warm personality and very clear in her instruction easy to follow. I really enjoyed Wendys organization, as she was set up and ready to start session and everything needed for the class was at hand. • 5/5 from Janet Christophersen, attended Nov 2025: A great class. Very well set up with great equipment and materials. Big square table with places for all to sit around during the class. Lots of delightful things, ceramic water boxes, lovely set up. Step by step instruction re techniques and materials which simplified the mystique of water painting. I can see the brushes needed, know the types of papers and attributes of each, saw the variety of paints and she advised re quality, and gave a list of places to purchase materials. I had two paintings to bring home and a grasp of basic techniques sufficient to get started on my own. The class in a way gave me permission in my mind to use the paint however I like to create as I pleased. Stress free class. Nice teacher, I chose to purchase a kit to take home, brushes papers of several types, and delightful little paint box with hinged internal palate. An easy drive from the city and parked out the front. An excellent beginners class, supportive, no fail, with concrete understanding to take home. I recommend the class.

I began my creative journey in 1993 with decorative painting in acrylics, exploring traditional styles inspired by a variety of cultures. Acrylic was my first love, and I enjoyed experimenting with colour, pattern, and technique.
In 2020, I rediscovered my passion for watercolour. I was captivated by the many methods and techniques the medium offers, and I still marvel at the way the pigments seem to have a mind of their own, creating beautiful and often unexpected effects.
Today, I happily paint with both acrylic and watercolour. I love the contrast between them — acrylic’s vibrancy and versatility, and watercolour’s fluidity and spontaneity.
It wasn’t long before I realised I wanted to connect with others and share the satisfaction and joy I experience through painting. Teaching felt like the natural next step.
I now host classes for beginners as well as those with more experience, guiding students through projects at their own pace in a supportive and relaxed environment.
I work full-time as an artist and teacher in South East Melbourne, creating and teaching from my studio in Cranbourne — finally doing what I love, and sharing my art and skills with others.
