Glass Light Catcher Class: Create and Sip

Looking for unique things to do in Canberra? Create your own light catcher and indulge in some delicious BYO drinks and snacks!In this workshop, you will learn the basics of creating your very own light catcher made from kiln-formed glass. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll have the opportunity to explore the art of glassmaking and create a unique piece to cherish for years to come.Our experienced instructor, Lisa Cahill, is an internationally recognised glass artist with 25 years of experience and loves welcoming you to her fully equipped kiln-forming and cold working studio in Fyshwick. Lisa will guide you through every step of the process, and you'll learn how to cut and arrange coloured glass and then watch as your creation comes to life.Being fired in the kiln will bring out the unique colours and textures of your light catcher. Once the firing is complete, your ornament will be ready for pickup or postage a few days later (please follow us on social media to be advised about pick-up times and dates), serving as a beautiful reminder of your creativity and the experience.Come and join us in our glass studio for a magical workshop that will leave you with a stunning piece of art and memories that will last a lifetime. Due to great feedback from previous attendees, we have extended the time to 1.5 hours so you have more time to chat and enjoy your time making your creations.
