First they teach you how to work the clay and different techniques. Then there is the opportunity to make anything you want (mug, vase, bowls…). I made decorations for my Christmas tree. I was lots of fun!

Miranda was a great teacher, assisted me and taught me wonderful techniques. I came with some photos and she helped me create two pieces within the 2.5 time frame which I was very happy with. I am now returning for another class as I enjoyed it so much. Thank you

We were required to buy clay to use ($25 per bag - probably enough for up to 4 people to share for the class if you’re going with friends) And we have booked in additional session to do glazing/painting.

My daughter is more experienced than me and also had a lot of fun. Miranda is very kind and generous with her time and knowledge. Miranda was very welcoming to include my daughter (13) where others would not consider that age group. My daughter loved her first class and has been back 3 times as she found it welcoming and she was free to express her creativity. She found Miranda helpful in providing friendly advice to her project.

We were supervised when needed, but allowed the space to be creative. The room (which was full) had such a wonderful energy - we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend - it’s a lot of fun.

Other participants in the class were relaxed, friendly and inclusive of my friend and I (newbies). The studio was warm on a very cold day and equipment was plentiful. The Hand Building and Sculptural Ceramic Workshop allowed me to fully focus. As I have inflammatory arthritis the class was a great activity for low impact exercise of my hands and fingers. I enjoyed making a few small pots and then a water pot brush holder and palette for watercolour.
