Our teacher was so lovely, knowledgeable and engaging, she made us feel completely at ease, especially as it was my partners first time working with clay. The whole experience was really relaxing and enjoyable, and we were guided through everything without it ever feeling overwhelming. We ended up creating a mug that we’re proud of and can’t wait to have our first Barry's tea in it! ️ We’d definitely recommend it and would love to do another workshop!

We booked the handbuilding mug workshop as part of our friend Mel’s surprise adventure birthday, and it was honestly the perfect addition to the day. She was so happy! It was so lovely to actually stop, slow down and do something creative and relaxing together — with plenty of laughs along the way. We think we did alright Sally was absolutely lovely — warm, patient and encouraging. Such a gorgeous way to spend time with friends and make something special at the same time. We loved it and would absolutely recommend it! ️

I made a whimsical mug with fun sculpted detail, goofy eyes, a little tongue sticking out, and a glazed handle in warm terracotta and pink tones. The studio had a relaxed, creative vibe, and there were plenty of tools, brushes, and glazes to experiment with. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it, even if you're not "artsy, " the instructors make it easy to just play around and end up with something totally unique. Can't wait to see how the glaze finish turns out after firing!

The class was well planned for maximum efficiency and instructions well paced and easy to follow. Highly recommend.

Sally’s instructions were easy to follow, the class was peaceful, and you get to keep your handmade mug. I loved it! Will definitely schedule in for another class in the future

Also the "delightful morning tea" also stated in the advertisment wasn't offer while I was there. Still a fun thing to do regardless.

Sally was incredibly kind, welcoming and a wonderful instructor who made everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their experience level. The ambience of the studio was lovely, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment where we could unwind and get creative. Sally explained everything clearly and was happy to help throughout the session. We would highly recommend Deep Earth Ceramics to anyone looking for a fun, creative and memorable outing. Thank you, Sally, for such a wonderful experience!
