Hi, I'm Wendy — I make small pictures out of plastic beads.I started because I needed something that would actually slow me down. Adaughter, a full day, a phone that never stops — and then a tray of tinycoloured beads that asked me to do one thing at a time. That's where the namecomes from. Hands & Heart. Bead by bead, find your calm.I work from a small studio in Magill. Everything I make starts as a grid ofcoloured squares: a character, a koala, a bunch of blue roses. What I loveabout this craft is that it looks hard and it isn't. If you can count squaresand hold a pair of tweezers, you can do it.That's why I started teaching it. My sessions are deliberately small — two tofour people around one table — so I can actually sit beside you and help whena corner goes wrong. Most people arrive nervous and leave with something theymade, slightly annoyed that they already want to make another.No experience needed. Boards, beads, tools, the iron and a cup of tea are allhere. Come by yourself, bring a friend, or bring your child. Ages 10 and up.
