Great class. Instructor was excellent and explained the processes really well. We had so much fun working with clay and porcelain for the very first time. The activity was very relaxing too. Would definitely recommend, even if you've had zero experience! I will say, the room was quite cold so I'd wear a thick top that allows you to pull up the sleeves. That way you'll stay warm and clean!

The experience was great eo im giving 5 star, the trainer Yvonne was excellent too. However I was annoyed by the fact that I wasn’t let to change my appointment since I requested 2.5 days prior and not 3. Little bit of flexibility would go a long way in retaining clients

I had opted for a beginner pottery workshop. I always wanted to learn pottery and today I got a chance to learn how. I was taught by Erika. She was wonderful. She had lots of patience and gave us clear instructions on how to go about. I am very glad to meet and learn from her. The venue was very peaceful and cosy. I liked the vibe of it. The class was ok, however the teacher was a bit shy so I feel she wasn't able to offer us much guidance/information to help those who needed it. We are all beginners doing this class so teachers need to offer up advice/guidance without having to be asked for it. It would also be good if teachers could let us know from the start of the class what tools we have access to eg. the tools around the room that are used to create texture etc

Teacher was very nice and helpful!
Venue is nice, perhaps the chairs could be more comfortable?
Materials were of high quality and in high quantity too, so the pottery made was in good size.

Very nice beginners class - Really enjoyed the experience :) It was an intimate class of 6 people which was perfect, in a cozy little studio with calming music playing in the background. Experience was just ok. The teacher smiled a lot.
There was no real instructions or help. I suggest that the instructor should demonstrate the steps first. Then let everyone have a turn on their own. The beginner's felt defeated as there was no support (just compliments that everything looked great when everyone knew their work was far from it).
I have to convince myself the cost was for hiring the wheel as there was no teaching.
I was also disappointed that the clay was air dry and could therefore not be used for functional items. This should be stated in the ad. We were finished in 1 hour, so when it said 2.5hrs, that's only if you take a long time to use the 2 pieces of clay they provide.

✨ Our workshop is designed with a focus on hands-on, experiential learning. In the first 30 minutes, our teacher will guide everyone through an introduction to clay and the pottery wheel. The rest of the time is for you to explore and feel the transformation of clay in your hands. This approach is clearly outlined in our course description, and we'll make sure to place this information more prominently.

Regarding the materials, we provide each participant with 1.5kg of clay. Whether you choose to create two larger pieces or four smaller ones, depends entirely on your design and creativity. Since our "Beginners" course is specifically tailored for those new to pottery, you may have been exposed to pottery making before so you complete your pieces more quickly and efficiently.

As for the air-dry clay, we take great care in differentiating our courses. The beginner's course is focused on the experience, and as highlighted in our description, you get to take your clay creations home on the same day. In our intermediate course, we include the firing process, so the pieces you make can be fully functional ceramics. This is why the beginner's class you attended didn’t cover ceramic firing.

Finally, if you're considering joining our intermediate pottery course, we would be absolutely delighted. In this course, our teacher will guide you through each step of the process, including firing, enabling you to create something both functional and uniquely yours.
