Hi, I'm Mell — the hands behind Clay in the Shed – Hunter Valley Pottery.What started as a love for working with clay has grown into a cosy little studio in the Hunter Valley, where I get to share that passion with others. After years of teaching pottery workshops across Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Hunter, I finally built the studio I'd always dreamed of — a warm, rustic space where people can slow down, get creative, and enjoy making something with their own hands.I believe pottery isn't about being perfect. It's about having fun, trying something new, and creating memories along the way. Whether you're joining a public workshop or celebrating a special occasion with friends, my goal is to make everyone feel welcome, relaxed, and proud of what they've made.I can't wait to welcome you into the shed and get your hands dirty with clay.
