What you'll do
This fun baking night is part demo, part snack fest and all relaxed Friday night vibes!Join Carli from Baking Club as she chats about different recipes and shares some fun facts about baking that will help you with your own baking. You will also get her recipe booklet full of brownies, slices, cookies, cupcakes and more to take home. These are simple recipes and mostly one bowl!After we've chatted about basic baking tips, you'll get to the fun part---eating baked goods! Taste a bunch of different recipes, while enjoying drinks and savoury snacks too.It's a very casual evening that will leave you with a full belly and LOTS of tips on how to improve your baking.Please note: Recipes contain gluten, dairy and egg. No nuts are used in any recipes due to Carli's own allergy. Dietary options are provided for most recipes, and while they will be discussed during the workshop, they won’t be baked or demonstrated in this class. There is no decorating in this workshop, it is a demo only.

Hi I'm Carli and I'm a cake teacher.I grew up in Perth, in a house where my mum made delicious treats every weekend from scratch.I’m talking vanilla slice, chocolate eclairs, fairy cakes, cinnamon scrolls. Really, I could go on.I got diagnosed with a nut allergy at 19, and it kind of flipped my dessert world upside down. I knew I would have to learn to bake for myself to enjoy safe treats and satisfy that sweet tooth.My dream became a reality when I studied at TAFE and ran a successful home baking business for many years, baking safe treats for all occasions. I then discovered a love of teaching. I’d once planned to study a dip Ed and go into teaching so I guess it makes sense, but wowee, do I get a buzz out of it!I have a passion for food and I LOVE sharing my baking tips with others so they too can create delicious memories with loved ones. I’m not sure there’s anything better than sitting down and savouring some home-baked treats, so I want to pass that on to as many people as I can.I am also about making baking easy and fitting in around your life/health/kids. Baking doesn’t need to be overly complicated or mean needing more tools that you know what to do with. I’m all about simplicity.
