Ikebana is the Japanese technique of flower arrangement. Take some time out for yourself and learn some of the principles of this soothing practice in a private studio on the Mornington Peninsula.

During this Ikebana class, your registered Sogetsu Ikebana teacher will guide you through the creation of three stunning Japanese style flower arrangements. You'll learn about the origins and history of this Japanese tradition, see some demonstrations and be given guidance as you work through your own arrangements.

Immerse yourself in the meditative experience of arranging flowers, branches, foliage and stems for maximum impact.

You'll finish the class with a sense of calm, a host of new skills to use in future projects and three beautiful Ikebana Japanese flower arrangements to display with pride.

Take part by yourself or book in with friends and family.

What you'll get
You will learn a little about the history of Ikebana and Japanese culture, while you create three beautiful arrangements to take home. A light morning or afternoon tea will be provided.

Nothing to bring for this class. Fresh flowers are provided and all equipment is supplied.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 7 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.
