Step into a journey of colour in this ink making workshop for kids! Join Perth artist Anne Gee as you explore the ink making process all created from natural and found things.
In this beginner's class, kids will simmer, grind, sieve and brew stunning colours and hues and learn how to experiment with processes that brighten, change and alter the final result to produce a delightful palette of colours.
Over the course of two hours, kids will create a range of inks, record the process, bottle and label their concoctions and learn simple techniques when playing with ink on paper and textiles.
All kids will take home their own collection of bottled inks and the skills to continue making more at home for use in some amazing artworks!

I've always loved to paint, draw and arrange momentary sculptures. My latest fascination involves concocting inks and pigments from natural elements, paper cut art, maps, paper sculpture and the use of vintage books, vintage papers and characters in my work.
