What you'll do

If you’re curious about what it feels like to shape clay spinning in your hands but not yet convinced on signing up for a five week course, this is the experience for you!

Our two-hour pottery wheel intro class are ideal for those with zero experience who want to give the wheel a go! It's the perfect amount of time to understand the foundations of wheel throwing and the ceramics process.

This class includes approximately 15 minutes of studio introduction, getting to know clay and explaining the pottery process and wheel demonstration, 90 minutes of wheel time and 15 for cleaning up your wheel and photo opportunities at the end of your class.

The wheel is a fun, mindful and humbling teacher, unlikely to be mastered it in just a single session. We provide unlimited balls of clay for unlimited attempts. The more you try the better you get!

After your session, we’ll trim and fire, clear glaze, and fire again your creation. When you come back for our five week wheel course you’ll learn these skills and get creative license to use our studio glazes to your hearts content!
