In this class, you will learn how to carve lino and print by hand and press. You'll learn about carving, inking, paper choice, and considerations when choosing a design to create. Small classes with a maximum of 4 people means individualised attention.
The great thing about linocut is the wide variation of style and contrast that can be achieved by switching up the different tools you use!
In the class, your teacher will talk you through some some different ways to print at home without a press.
First, you'll draw design (come with some ideas) Then you'll learn how to carve your plate with your own design. Once you've finished carving you'll do a test print to get the inking just right and then produce a small edition of prints to take home.

I am a printmaker based in Melbournes North East. I've been passionate about printmaking since I first studied it in 2002. My studio, Hazy Bubble Studio, is located in Kew East.
I've produced prints in just about every form of printmaking from lithography to aquatint, to monoprint, and all things in between.
I currently have a small press and my studio is spacious enough to host small, focused groups.
